So I've been playing that Wipeout demo and its impossible for me to win the race with assists/weapons on or off lol. Its POD/F-Zero GX all over again in that I can't adjust to floaty controls and know I'll never unlock jack squat. Buuuut the games so nice to look at that I'll end up turning it on every now an then just to mess around. So I guess thats one PS3 game chosen along with Pursuit Force for PSP. Dunno about the seconds yet.

edit: I read in one of these threads the Wipeout has an unlock key thing? So I should keep the demo so I won't have to re-d/l it later?

You can mess about with the sensitivity of the air brakes, and also the acceleration sensitivity. It's strange, it seems to me like it's mostly memorisation of the maps that wins you races.

Are you using the R2/L2 buttons for sharp turns and double clicking them for quick 'dodges'? I've been playing the game and the first section is very easy, I wouldn't worry about it in context.

Yep seen this code about 70 times now. When it DOES work for some reason any 9 character password with non-repeating characters with letters and numbers ISN'T accepted. Even when I tell it to email me a new password it fails and tells me in Japanese to try again later. Sigh.
I just want to know if I am getting 60 days of PS+ or not. Is there an email that they reply to? I'm in Australia.

Log into your PlayStation Network account and choose Account Management > Transaction Management > Services List

Choose “PlayStation Network Promotions” from the list of services displayed

Select either “PS3 Free Games” or “PSP Free Games” and then choose “Select Content”

You will be taken to the store to choose your remaining free games.

That should work.

I managed to get PSN+, now downloading Burnout Paradise and SoR2 (SoR2 seems to be more expensive on PSN than XBL :/).

Whenever I try to do the Welcome Back thing, it freezes and the icons disappear. Then it just stops working altogether, lol.

yay for already having the Wipeout demo installed. i can't try fury yet, but at least i'm playing something new thanks to being able to just download the unlock key.

wipeout HD looks so stupidly good in 3D.

no fucking kidding!!! I bought it and fury back when I got my TV and it is beautiful. I had heard a lot about ghosting but I didn't experience any. But I have a dlp and according to folks at avsforum they're good at the ghosting problem. As a matter of fact I only experienced ghosting once while playing tumble and that was cleared up by resetting my glasses. 73 Inches of 3D Wipeout is brain melting and I fucking suck ass at that game! I still love it though, as I grind against barriers in last place, lol.

For Wipeout campaign, which should I do first Fury or HD?

It doesn't matter. But if you do Fury for the campaign complete trophy on that (that doesn't require OMG HAX AI elite in tow for the Elite complete trophy in HD), you get the "bling brigade" requirement skin. Which should be easier to get than it was for me if you/GAF organize a game while the game is popular and there is bling skins available to race with.

Plus, Fury has more modes than time-trial and race.

I could mess with 'em but I'd prolly end up making things worse! I think you're right about the rememberizing thing. Gotta know where them boost pads are an try to actually get on them in time!

I didn't notice any sharp turns in the demo track sooo I haven't really been using 'em. Didn't know about the quick dodge thingy!

Yup.

Some games allows downloads to continue even if your are signed in, Uncharted for example, if you play SP, downloads will continue as normal, if you enter MP, the downloads will be paused. If you switch back to SP, they will resume.

Well I got them in the end, I just kept spamming for about 10 minutes straight until it showed the little red purchased icon on the game, I then went into my down history and grabbed them from there.

To all the people saying their downloads are disappearing, try checking your Download List in the Store. Worked for me when I downloaded Wipeout HD.

Yes. Even if you play "singleplayer" you're still connected to PSN/MM's servers which stops your background download. The only way to prevent that is to sign out of PSN to where PSN won't attempt to login and the background downloads will download from the PSN store servers with no issues.

Yeah, it uses the connection at all times I think. Or at least enough to stop downloads.

Maybe that's why it isn't showing up on my list but Sony says I still have a free game for PS3 left to get. I asked Killthee to get me LBP1 and Infamous on my account (Infamous was the only one I didn't own and LBP1 I want a DD of), but either he hasn't gotten it (glitched missing thing, which I told him how to fix) or Sony is fucked up on that offer. :/

i did it through password reset on qriocity.com... worked just fine, but it was pretty slow.

just tried it for my old account and got a 'server maintainence error'. the reset went through anyway.

I had that same error trying to buy a game when the store went up (I bought it, downloaded it, but it wouldn't transfer because it couldn't do the license). When the traffic subsided a bit, I was finally able to get it without the error.

I imagine the same thing is happening again, everyone trying to get their free stuff. Just be patient...

Not sure why you would hate it if you are in to those kinds of games.

I find it incredibly fun. I had much more fun with Infamous and Crackdown then I ever had with GTA IV, the traversal of the world is so much more fun.

Of the five PS3 games on offer in the US, the only one I don't already have is Dead Nation, so obviously that's going to be my first choice.

For my second selection, I'd like to know if Super Stardust HD also includes all of the downloadable content, similar to how the Wipeout HD package in the offer includes the Fury pack. I've already got Super Stardust HD (of course), the Solo pack, and the Impact mode pack, but I'm missing the Team pack. If the Team pack is included, then I'll choose this for sure.

If you've chosen SSHD, then could you please check and see if it include any of the DLC packs? These appear as extra game mode selections in the menu. For example, the Solo pack includes Endless, Bomber, Survival, and Time Attack modes. If you've got those modes available, then you've got the Solo pack.

What the hell? Clicked to the first PS3 game, successfully clicked "get now," went back, wouldn't let me download stardust, and now it won't actually let me download the first game. This is nuts.
