That looks similar to this one.

Same concept or different?

Consider me sold then as I'm getting really tired of carrying my headphones seperate from my PSP.

How big are your headphones folded up?

That skin is way too thick. It looks pretty cheap and tacky, IMO.
I agree. I also don't like the thickness around the buttons because it looks like it causes the buttons to not stick out anymore. It also doesn't protect the screen at all, which is what I am concerned about the most.

Anyone know anything about the Hori pouches?

They look nice enough, certainly not bulky, but I'd wonder how much protection they offer.

It really sucks that the Logitech isn't out yet. I'm thinking about the Aero case now - suitable for "throwing" (read: delicately placing) into a backpack? Also, easy enough to plug your headphones in while it's in the case?

Also, in terms of screen protectors, exim is best, right?

And not only that, according to a review I read about the Crystal Sleeves, they're a bitch to remove and put on. Also, you can't change UMD's while the sleeve is on.

Man those crystal guards remind me of those old swatch watch guards (you guys in your mid-20's+ will remember what i'm talking about :)). The just cover the edges and cover absolutely nothing important, the fact that you can't even get the UMD out while it's on makes me laugh in even harder at anyone that's bought one lol. Although in it's defense at least swatch guards matched alot of the watches, these crystal guards just look like shit heh.

Question about the Aero case - the underside of the dividing flap seems to have a seam running down the middle. What are the chances of friction from that scratching the screen? How soft is the underside material anyway?

For that matter, how are any of the cases in terms of avoiding scratches? When you hear about people scratching the screen by wiping with the microfiber cloth "too hard", i kinda get worried about scratching potential inside the cases :(

The aforementioned "PSP Aero Case" ...

Also comes in black.

I'm waiting on the Logitech one myself.

Yeah, my Aero case arrived today (but still, no PSP :( ). The underside of the divider seems like it'll be OK to the screen. That seam isn't really a seam..I'm not even sure if it'd be touching the screen unless you pressed down on it, since there's a little depression in the surface where the seam is. I think I'll just but the cloth over the screen when it's in the case anyway, just to be ultra-sure.

You know, aside from cosmetic differences (and the fact that the inside pocket isnt setup to specifically hold 2 UMDs and 2 Memory Sticks), the Aero case is IDENTICAL to the Pelican "HeadBanger" case that sells for $10 and also comes in the Best Buy starter kits.

MetalAlien posted a picture on page 1 of the thread.

PSP section is the same, including straps. Inner flap is identical, right down to the "seam." The outside has a soft mesh covering, but the belt clip and belt loop clip are very similar.

I wonder what Chinese company is manufacturing all these cases :)

I got this one

Damn good deal for $15 ,the replacement analog nub is nice, the case is nice, and the screen cover is nice and solid.

Does the face cover give you any problems? My bro got one of these but you can't completely tilt the analog nub to the right because the face cover is misaligned. I was wondering if it was just his face cover that was screwed...the case looks nice but the analog nub thing turned me off

This is a great thread. If I get a PSP I will definitely keep these cases in mind. Thanks to DaCocoaBrova for starting this thread.

Uh... WTF?

Anyone see/get the Logitech case yet? I want to know how it is before I drop a 20 on it later this week

I've been using microfibers on my car for a couple of years. The most important thing is to NOT use softener while washing or dryer sheets when drying them. That and I prefer to use a "free" detergent to keep them from picking up any fragrances. I also wash them seperately.

I got this badboy and it's awesome:

nice, clean, and simple -- screws into the top with an opening for USB --- really nice leather, slim enough to fit in the pocket still, magnetic snap, nice screen protection, and all the sides are open for plugs/phones/etc...

it fits my memory cards really snugg -- and also an extra game on the outside, I slip my cleaning-rag in there too.

it's anoying to get the games in and out -- not gonna cause me to fumble and drop anything, I just have to hold the flap back.

it's worth the price for something constructed with such quality -- and doesn't look like I picked it up at Toys'R'Us --- complements the PSP design really nicely, and looks much better than in those pics.

I'm still using the Intac case, and a few weeks after launch, it's still working great. Can't beat the $10 price either. My PSP has zero scratches on it so far, so I"m glad I bought this at launch.

I am looking forward to reviews/more info on the Charging Case that is due out in a few weeks. the $60 price tag has me holding off a bit, but if it works great, it might be worth the investment, although the battery life on the PSP has been great for me so far, so I"m not sure I really need it. Maybe just a second battery for long trips.

That looks nice. Where did you order it from? And how useful is it at protecting the PSP, the sides look minimal, so I'm thinking not much?

I donno what you're looking for in protection -- It's not gonna drop flairs to counter misiles anytime soon.... but the wrist strap is still accesable when closed, so I usually have that on my wrist whenever I'm carying it or about to open it up.

I haven't gotten any dings or anything from the sides -- but if it took a hard fall on the side, I'm sure much wouldn't be protected --- but the leather backing on the front and back are really solid and could take a lot. --- I like having a case that doesn't feel 'extra' or something else to transport, when you play the leather flips to the back.

i called eb and they said the 21st in their computer. there are that popped up on ebay yesterday and today so logitech is shipping them. people have them in hand but the buy it now is 30, ill wait
