seeing i do not have a PSP yet i can not verify if this works or does not work.

A jr member posted the link and I felt that with the huge amount of ya out there who got PSP's with dead pixels it might be a life savor if it actually works.

seems to be free and only takes 20 minutes to run.

"This MP4 video flashes red, green, and blue frames rapidly and stimulates dead pixels in to working again. Reports of success have been mixed, "

To say the least i would be very interested in if this works for anyone here?
keep us posted.

For clarification, this video fixes "stuck" or "hot" pixels. If you have a pixel stuck at an incorrect colour, there's a good chance the video will work for you.

Dead pixels are dark, and nothing will bring them back to life unfortunately.

I hear a much more reliable way to get them out is by boiling the PSP... :)

HA HA HA, yeah i hear that works wonders as well. :lol

woops, looks like i got beat to spreading the love.

never mind...

How long do you leave it running? I have one stuck pixel on the left side of the screen (really out of the way), but I'm trying this anyways.

I tried this an I seriously thought my PSP was going to break... impressions started to appear on the cornors of the screen, like it was under stress or something was applying preasure to the LCD.

Didn't work for me, and it made my PSP make a nastly buzzing sound after about 4 minutes.

It seems not everyone is able to to get it to work, my psp it didn't but I only have 1 stuck pixel, but on my sisters PSP all of her dead pixels are up and running but her stuck pixels are still there also.

I have on pixel that is weird colors only on when the screen is competely black. This really bother me because playing Twisted Metal, Ape Escape, Hot Shots, and Untold Legends....all their load screens are black. This one pixel just bothers me. Is this pixel stuck....or dead?

BTW....I've been running this video for like 15 minutes and it just made a loud buzz....anyone else have that happen?

dead pixel = all sub pixels are off i.e. the pixel is black or dark
stuck pixel = one or more sub pixels are allways on wich results in different colors like white, green etc.

the buzz sound might be because of some sort of buffer overrun problem with the psp playback. i.e. it is most likely a software problem.. it should flush the memory but I GUESS it doesnt do it properly.

I see the boiling joke's already been made.

fix also works if you have a LCD monitor. Just get a bathtub and some thermal coils.
