PSP: just died/froze etc... ;_; GAFer needs help

i was messing around with my PSP trying out different jpeg backgrounds and i thought i would be clever and press select while a video was playing...

y'know to MAYBE have an interesting ep3 trailer screenshot background.

well, the machine froze and the memory stick access light went nuts. so i powered off, and thought that the bad freeze would go away.

everything seemed fine but i wasnt able to access the memory stick, so i thought: ERGO: i fucked the scandisk...no biggy, i can get it replaced.

so i get home and try my other card...

IT WASNT ABLE TO READ IT!!!!

my blood ran cold, a colleague got it for me in Japan at retail and i'm living in helsinki...;_;

is there anything i can do????

Speaking of crashes, my DS crashed when I was playing Wario Ware. Never seen a handheld game crash before.

It's just a mini game you hadn't stumbled across yet. Tap A rapidly to resuscitate the system!

Uh, yes, but if you go into any other mode (i.e., music, video, or even the config menu), the wallpaper disappears. So actually, no, you can't SET wallpaper... at least not for any length of time.

In an effort to save space for more important threads, my battery will not charge to 100% anymore. Appearantly I didn't charge it properly and the memory got screwed. It only charges to 91% now and it says fully charged, is there any quick fix to ths as well?
