Looks pretty good. I'm actually unsure whether to go for this or the PS2 version.

Might as well go with this, Sega decided not to include what would've made the PS2 version the best version, DFP support.

Yes, but there is a dissapointing lack of stars in this pic. :(

Is it not possible to turn dithering off on the psp? :-/

Looks funky otherwise.

It's not an effect. The dithering is a result of some games running in 16-bit color.

looks really really good. they managed to completely maintain the look (and hopefully feel) of the big brother console games. just look at that draw distance. hotness

As expected, it looks like hot sex. Although I heard rumors of it being Online (for the PSP), so has that been confirmed.

Yeah, In my opinion there is way too much information on the screen at the same time.

Agreed, plus what is there seems too big. Does your score really need to take up that much real estate?

Looks really nice. This is a day one purchase for me. I like how some of these screens show nice highlights on the cars, long draw distance and nice looking water.

These are my favorites for the above mentioned reasons:

Yah its online.
Wait a sec, I thought only Xbox and PS2 versions are online?

I hope they will let you minimize/disable HUD, like you can do in NFS games for example.

I couldn't agree more. Many developers underestimate the value of lighting on the car in a racing game. For me it just adds a lot to the look of the game if you can see a light source beaming off the car at different angles during a race. I'm happy to see even the PSP version has this feature. Very nice stuff.

I'm a big fan of the little things that make up the big picture and lighting is one of the biggest little things you can do.

Eurogamer: Will the game feature online racing on all formats? Will there be any kind of ranking system, or will it be strictly pick-up races?

Mark Glossop: Online racing will be available on all platforms and there will be a ranking system.

Wow, that looks really nice for a PSP game, i'm impressed!

It looks amazing, I think. I really do think it will look about 100x better when viewed on the actual screen as well. Too early to make the call, but based on their track record, I'm expecting 60 fps from this one...

That's not the Space Shuttle stage, which is the only one filled to the fucking brim with stars.

Why did that just scream to me "THE SHADOWS AREN'T BLUE!"

:lol

I'll be grabbing the XBox version in March, but this'll be one of the first games I pick up if and when I get a PSP by year's end. Arcade titles like these are the games that should be flooding the portables.

wowzers - another PSP game for me. My only concern is the traffic.... where is it? The draw distance looks to be there (on the PSP version) but the traffic needs to come back! :)
