Not *entirely* true. Both are basically old content with a new coat of paint, like Mario 64 DS.Ignatz Mouse said:Not ports:

Erm, they did add Wario, Pokemon Dash and Rayman. Plus those "Small japanese puzzle games and mini game collections" aren't anything to scoff at, they're all pretty great (Wario Ware, Mr Driller, Feel the Magic & Zoo Keeper). Hell, PSP's most promising game is Lumines for some, despite it's sports/racing heavy debut. Seriously, the EU DS launch lineup isn't bad at all, especially compared to America...Guns N' Poops said:Doubled doesn't mean better. There is still no other game besides Mario 64 that is something really solid. Small japanese puzzle games and mini game collections aren't exactly part of a rich line-up. I am very angry about this fact. They could at least add Yoshi's Touch & Go, who the hell knows when it gets released here in Europe.
Yep, it's the PS1 game. Not that I mind, it's the best 3D platformer ever imo.Ignatz Mouse said:I didn't realize that about APe Escape.
Sure, but it's not really "new" either. I wouldn't call Sonic Jam or Mario-Allstars "new" games.Ignatz Mouse said:But Ridge Racer is more like Mario All Stars than Mario 64. I wouldn't call it a port as much as a compilation of old tracks with a new engine.
I expect prices will go down later next year as the next generation comes in. With PSP having console comparable games right now, console comparable pricing is no real surprise.Mrbob said:Game software prices too high too. They should be as low as $29.99 and up to $39.99.

Miburou said:The game prices don't make sense. PSP games in Japan range from 3,800 to 4,800 Yen, while console games can go as high as 8,800 Yen, with most at 6,800. Yet in NA it would appear that PSP games aren't that far off from console games.
And duckroll: which two tracks are inspired by Rave Racer? The downtown tracks set at night (my two favorite tracks in RRs), or the mountain ones (ironically my least favorite in the game).

CrimsonSkies said:Great launch lineup for a new handheld. I don't see how anyone can complain. *Shrugs*
krypt0nian said:Who said they were extreme? They just suck out of the box. No interest here.
Consumers can expect Sony Computer Entertainment America's software titles to range from as low as $39.99 SRP.

It is sort of sad... hopefully From has a "real" AC for PSP coming (to go along with King's Field and Tenchu). And hopefully the DS game isn't another AI battler too.duckroll said:You do know that this is not an action game right? You don't even control the mechs, you just "tune" the AI (which is just a bunch of nonsense numbers on various attributes) and then watch your mech fight by itself without being able to skip the match at all. I was almost going to get it with my JP PSP but once I found out I cried. ;_;
DrGAKMAN said:So wait...$40 to $50 games...and the portable is $250??? And you still need a case (exposed screen), a memory stick (not cheap)
Goddamn son, you need to give it a rest.DrGAKMAN said:*long-ass post*

And the games aren't $40+?
Because really, I didn't read...just glanced and that's what I saw. Anyways, the rest of more post shouldn't be "derailed" just 'cos of the first sentence which was BTW a question.
