Why is the guy only pressing one button? :lol
WE is the most anticipated game in England for sure. EA is lucky to have the license for all the players names and the Fifa brand as well, but many of my friends who played PES4 after Fifa 2005 couldnt play Fifa 2005 again.jarrod said:I know WE is gaining ground, but is it really that big in Europe? Wouldn't FIFA being more of a killer app there?
True, just looked up the Hideo Teramoto interview (from Edge)... though he makes it sound like all future Namco games would be full spec, unlike Ridge Racers (which was locked at 222MHz). It wouldn't surprise me if Bounty Hounds is full spec though, it's pretty much a better looking PSO clone.kaching said:They said future titles would would have the cap lifted, but I don't recall seeing Namco or anyone else specifically indicate which games that would apply to.
jarrod said:Odd question, but does WE still use Renderware? If so, this might be a good indication of the platform's portability expectations for PSP.
I wouldn't be surprised if BH is being allowed to run at full spec but I'd be rather surprised if it was a game actually designed around full spec. It certainly doesn't look like it's taking any greater advantage of PSP spec than RR did.jarrod said:True, just looked up the Hideo Teramoto interview (from Edge)... though he makes it sound like all future Namco games would be full spec, unlike Ridge Racers (which was locked at 222MHz). I dunno, it's probably easier to craft a great looking racer than a great looking dungeon hack given their differing focuses. As is though, both are relatively low geometry with simpler effects than most current console games.... could go either way.kaching said:I wouldn't be surprised if BH is being allowed to run at full spec but I'd be rather surprised if it was a game actually designed around full spec. Heian-kyo said:Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the PS2 and PSP WE9's can link up so that one can play their league games on both systems, which is just about the coolest damn connectivity idea in a sports game I've ever heard of (I don't think it's been done before).
Continuing your PS2 league while you go on the road versus just playing a random game or a PSP specific league is so tempting it hurts...
Isn't data transfer just one way though (PS2 to PSP)? Meaning any progress made on the PSP version wouldn't be usable on PS2?Heian-kyo said:Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the PS2 and PSP WE9's can link up so that one can play their league games on both systems, which is just about the coolest damn connectivity idea in a sports game I've ever heard of (I don't think it's been done before).

I think Madden's doing something similar.

One of the hottest features that everyone is buzzing about is the PSP and PS2 connectivity with Madden 06. You can actually start a franchise game on your PSP or PS2, upload it to the EA locker (an info hub on the web for all EA sports games), and download it to either device. You can download your rosters or profile, and take your game on the road with you. This feature is really for the hardcore Madden guys that live and breathe the game. It's really just nice to know that you can take your franchise game with you if you want. Franchise can be a very long and involved process, so portability is a nice option for it.
Not according to this guy...Nervous Hamster said:I am pretty sure any progress on the PSP version will be usable on PS2, cause it's confirmed by Konami that the connecitivity is for the option files. And for us, the WE fans, the option file is one hell of a big thing, don't ya think?![]()
Keio said:Sorry - I was wrong. New info from Games Convention (where PES PSP is playable) states that data can only be copied from PS2->PSP, e.g. you can transfer your "option file" contents but can't continue master league or anything on the road![]()
