I just recently bought a psp off a friend for a great $50 dollars but the down fall to this was that I wouldn't be able to charge it. The orange light won't come on. Should I buy a new battery or is there a way I could pay or get it repaired(even if it cost)?

seems to be a common problem that I see. Changing the battery won't help.

I had the same problem with mine, exchanging the battery worked for a week or two, but I had to get it replaced. Brilliant piece of engineering my ass.

I see it all the time in my store, 99.9% of the time cahanging the battery does not work.

For $50 you got a good deal on the PSP, broken or not. Send it in for repair; the one year warranty should still be in effect. If not, try to unload it at EBGames.
