Public action needs to be taken to lower concert ticket prices!

This is insane... (In Canada at least)

I bought Bad Religion tix for 25 bucks, seemed fair enough but after service charges the price was up to 42 bucks! And this is for a club show!

Yea I paid it because I haven't been to a concert in months and I really want to see Bad Religion...

Today Velvet Revolver tix went on sale, they range between 40 and 55 bucks! No supporting bands were announced or anything!

It's a travesty that even club shows are this expensive! Arena/stadium shows are already too expensive to go too!

I can justify spending 70 or so bucks on a festival type concert, in fact I paid 100 bucks for floor tix to see Summer Sanitarium but that was Metallica, Linkin Park, Deftones, Limp Bizkit which all played full sets!

How can we get concert prices to come down in price? This is nuts!

Blame Ticketmaster and the music labels.

'course, I can't really complain about concert prices around here. ;)

Smegging smeg of a smeg!
Marilyn Manson's playing at a club in Boston and the general admission tickets are $41 before fees. Ridiculous. You can thank Clear Channel for most of this.

Ticketmaster is of the devil. On rare occasions you can buy the tickets at the venue box office and avoid the charges...

I've got nothing against Rotate... in fact, they're really good for tickets. but it's not the most transit friendly, especially for us northern folks.

this is why i dont go to many concerts anymore.

i wanted to see Ween in a few weeks, which is $25, but after charges for me and my GF the bill well exceeds $70 for 2 tickets. i know an extra $11 per ticket doesn't seem like much, but i'm pretty broke as it is.

there are 3 bands on this planet that i would "find" money to pay those extra charges for, they are as follows:

1. tool
2. nine inch nails
3. smashing pumpkins (if they were to ever do a reunion tour!)
