thats the thing, i dont really consider many things "cheap". maybe its the wrong word. I jsut like to do a lot of mix ups and stay tricky. Like urien unblockables are cheap I guess, but I still think if you get hit with something and put yourslef in a postion to get destroyed like that, its your own damn fault anyway.

I just like to use strats that may appear "impossible" to get around at first to make people think a bit when they play. the point is, many people will write off a lot of shit as cheap when they just havent spent enough time thinking of a way around it.

some specific examples:

with makoto, to begginer players, you can basicly do Hayate -> Karakusa -> FP -> Hayate -> Karakusa until the end of time. To someone who dosent know you can just jump away fromt he Karakusa, they may consider it cheap.

beyond that, she has a 100% stun combo now which I guess is kind of cheap, but again, people just need to learn to stay away from her in the corner when she has meter.

Tick throws probably appear cheap to a lot of people and inescapable. You can even tick into Gigas as far as I know. (c. lp, buffer super, execute right after they recover from the blocks tun of the c.lp...or something like that..)

Oh hell yes you can. But I use a standing LK to buffer the 1st 360 usually. I don't think this is cheap because Hugo is never cheap, ever, ever. :D

Heh heh It's usually my good buddy, who's pretty good actually. I pulled this on him 3 times in one night once. :D My justification is that Hugo needs every damn edge he can get.

I read walkthroughs for some games (I'd rather get everything on the first try) and I save until my save file gets corrupted. I don't use cheat modes much. I sometimes like to cheese in FPS. PEACE.

Yes he does. Once someone told me I was being cheap with my Q.... Q!! Q has like no options, its impossible to be cheap with him. Poke with s.mk, reset/tick -> C&DB, close mk -> super. That's it. EDIT - okay, kara-throw and taunts :p

Fucking Chun vids from major tournies are so goddamn boring
Fuck yeah, Chun vs Chun's are the worst, though Yun vs Yun is also pretty dull. But Chun is definetly the cheapest, as d.mk is so quick and gives you so much time to connect SAII, which does wayy too much damage for an easily comboable medium bar sized super.

To go with the topic at hand, I pretty much follow King's fighting rules. Try not to be cheap, don't gloat that you're the best cause you never are, and don't cheat/look up guides for games if you're enjoying it. If I just want to beat it, I will sometimes just go ahead and cheat since I really don't care about the gameplay itself.

RPG Games: NEVER STOP TO LVL UP.

Whats the point of lvl up for hours and breezing thru the game.

Gang up on anyone name Cloud, Sephiroth or a character from DBZ on an online game.

If someone walks within my character's range of sight while I am driving a vehicle, they have asked me to run them over.

Especially if their name is something like "FUCKFAG JEWNAZI666"

Only 2 rules here :

- Play as less "games that you have to finish" as possible. Video gaming, in my opinion, is all about skills, community and competition. The spirit of arcade gaming has almost vanished, but these were the good times. If I want to listen to a story, I'll listen to a movie. Gameplay mechanics + replay value >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> story and "finishable" game

- Most importantly : Always BUY the game you want to play. Emulation is a no go. It's never to the level of perfection I want it to be and I consider that a slap in the face of the game developper.

You'd think I'd be smart enough not to start this shit with you, but you're basically being elistest about owning Neo Geo stuff in general.

Those games were expensive as hell solely because of the meduim they were stuck in, not for a consistent level of ultra quality. I can feel sorry for the stunts that the SCEA pulled on SNK recently, but there was a good number of years where, IMO, SNK basically put themselves in the corner.

The price and availabilty of Neo games kept excellent titles out of the hands of gamers like myslef who would have appreciated them and supported them had I the means. So I emu'ed the shit out of the Neo, fell in love with MS3, and bought it when it dropped on the Xbox. The only version, BTW, with no slowdown, so you keep enjoying your perfect cart copy (not that I don't envy, a little, but I'd never shell out for).

Did you really sell your Xbox and PSP for Magical Drop 3? Dark10x said he saw one in Aki' for a fuckin' quarter.

Good luck getting through ANY pre-16 bit RPG (or even a handful of post-16 bits)

- no cheating any time for any reason

- absolutely no FAQs/guides

- never skip cutscenes/text on first playthrough

- enjoy myself

- Never save cowardly in a save anywhere game. You know those kind of "oh shit i killed ONE ennemi let's go save" type of gamer. Bullshit. I try to save when it's been a little while, when i feel i completed some section of the game.
F12-F9 F12-F9 F12-F9 F12-F9 F12-F9 and can't forget the old school F6-F7 and F5-F9. :)

I pretty much agree with you when it comes to 32-bit and up, although Road Rash 64 on the pc is some fun shit. The older systems emulate insanely good. As far as I'm concerned, NesterDC is better than a real NES and likewise for Zsnes. Don't even get me started on how good Mame and Stella for Atari is.

For something like GTA, I save as often as possible but I never revert back to a save if I've died or failed a mission. Mostly because I feel if I'm re-doing a mission a ton of times then by reseting everytime I'm taking a chunk out of my stats which I like to be as accurate as possible
Well I salute you dude, because I don't fuck around when it comes to my guns. It's because of the games not letting you save your guns that I'd always reload and try again. In Vice City that taxi cab feature was pretty much worthless after the first part of the game.
