Who's the guy talking 12 seconds in? I recognise him but can't place him.

Tahmoh Penikett, was also in supernatural and dollhouse

I loved original PP when it was just them being idiots, but sort of fell off when it started to get into that weird underground conspiracy thing. Definitely weird and kinda cool that this is going to be a thing? What are their release plans? I imagine Steam would probably be a good outlet for this.

Curious to see if the 'teh_masterer' side plot about the 'gaming war' stuff is all gone now. I imagine so, but my old 14 year old self was eager to see if that stuff would ever develop. I also imagine Jeremy's apprentice (her name was Kris?) is gone too?

I just recently saw this series. So endearing! I love the episode where FPS Doug is swinging around a knife and he's like "You wanna go for a jog, man?" Haha!

Woah, this is the source of that second GIF? Never watched this, the title sounds pretty cringeworthy but I remember seeing that second gif (with the caption, "boom, headshot,") all over the internet back in the 2000s.

Yes. If you've heard of "BOOM, Headshot!" or seen that animated .gif, its original source was Pure Pwnage.

I watched the first season of the show again yesterday, and man, I really miss it. Love these characters so much. I wish they could do a web series again, with a new take on gaming in 2015.

Man this takes me back. I remember going to the premiere of season 2 at a theatre on bloor and something. I forget. I got a touque from the event and everyone was playing tetris ds. Definitely down to see this.

Bathurst. lol

I never got to go to one of those screenings unfortunately.

Loved watching the series back in my uni days, I even got a Jeremy bandana (signed!) as well as an "i pwn n00bs" shirt.

I hope their humour has matured as we have. There's only so many times you can hear "BOOM HEADSHOT" before you want to strangle someone.

I'm at the world premiere right now in Toronto. The line to get in went around the block, and I'm inside the sold out theatre right now. Jam packed :)

Already got a ticket to see this Wednesday even though it doesn't look very good. The web series was amazing, and the tv show was still alright, so I'm sure I'll enjoy the movie.

IT WAS GREAT

if you liked the show, you'll love the movie. Totally captured the original internet show, doesn't feel outdated at all. The people behind the film are super talented :)

Don't judge based on the trailer!

Wow, really? I didn't necessarily have great expectations for this and was pretty much just treating it as a farewell to the show I loved before, but if it's actually good, my interest in seeing it has increased.

I backed it, so I'll have to wait to receive my Blu-ray from them.

Man, I loved the old series so much....but this didn't look good. Didn't even tickle my nostalgia at all. Best of luck for them though!

It felt like a great (feature length) episode of the original web series. Nothing mind blowing, but like I said, if you liked the original show, you'll love the movie!

Pretty sure it was around 100 minutes. Screening started at like 3:15 and ended around 4:50 iirc.

I hope they have more than Toronto showing with Jarett and Geoff, because I very much want to see this (and so does my inner 20 year old self)

100 minutes is the perfect length for a Pure Pwnage movie imo. Was any of the cast there outside of Jarrett and Geoff??

Pretty much everyone was there and also at the after party. Jarett, Geoff, Joel and Miranda of the original crew, and then most of the new faces from the movie.

Jarett also said this was the biggest, independently funded film in Canadian history. They didn't get any funding outside of the Indiegogo, so it was entirely funded by the fans. Pretty cool.

Nice, hopefully there is an after party for all showings. I need to wake up for work early the next morning but I'm sure they'll understand me being hung over if I explain that it is because of Pure Pwnage.

Got the backers e-mail that this is releasing worldwide on May 7th. Almost seems kind of laughable that the digital copy is in 4K and they originally weren't even offering Blu-ray. Obviously it took a while to make the movie, but at least I actually have a 4K monitor now. I hope the movie is worth the long wait.

So is Dave Daweii in teh movie? Need to bring Pro at Cooking back. I hope he's in the movie since he was in the trailer.

I received my download code for it, which will become active in about 12.5 hours. Interested in seeing it. I wonder if it'll be the final chapter in the Pure Pwnage saga, or if they have plans for anything after it.

Gotta admit, seeing some of that 1337 speak in the email is some weird shit, but I'm not put off as much by it as I could be, because of what this is.
