Pursuit Force: Ow my pride...

Ghost

Chili Con Carnage!
I got this game for Christmas, I love the cheesy presentation, the characters, the way the levels are set up and the chief shouting "If you die you're fired!" are all great call backs to when games didn't take themselves too seriously.

The gameplay is kinda cool too, leaping from vehicles, keeping your balance perched atop an enemy vehicle dodging bullets then blowing them away with your shotgun, building up your 'Justice' meter (another awesome cheesy touch) that lets you gun down crooks mid leap among other things.

So its pretty fun...unfortunately its ruined by savage time limits that make every mission a huge struggle and the complete lack of checkpoints within missions, this especially hurts on the boss missions where you face off against bad guys with huge health bars and an unlimited supply of cronies that chip away at your vehicle so quickly that you have no chance to actually shoot at the boss during the 3 or 4 minutes you have to take him down before he 'escapes'.

Is there something obvious im missing with this game or is it just another one of these Gamer soul destroyers built to make us feel shit?

Maybe you should have waited for the fixed version that's going to be released in the USA next year.

I don't think you're missing anything, the difficulty level is simply way too hard. I did manage to complete it, but some of the missions took me 20+ tries to get right. As for the boss missions, use your justice meter for healing your car just before it blows up. The fastest way to refill it is by bumping into enemy cars three or more times in a row. If I recall correctly, you can also increase your firerate by hitting the fire button manually rather than holding it down.

Sony has promised to "fix" the difficulty level for the North American release. They'll also redo the voice acting, even though it seemed it fine enough to me.

I love the game, but it is really hard and the boss levels are downright mental. It is almost impossible to take the bosses down when you have waves of enemies trying to kill you and have no other option than jumping to their cars before yours explodes.

Edit: No f*cking checkpoints either.
