the multiplayer video i saw looked like classic quake fun, but the 360 version probably won't play with the same kind of frenetic speed, and i'm not upgrading my pc, so meh unless they announce it for the revolution.

I'd be excited for it if F.E.A.R. wasn't coming out at the same time. Maybe if they had released a demo, it would be different. Not gonna take the plunge and be disappointed like I was with Doom 3.

I've played it, its pretty fun but I still think what the world needs is a little TFC 2 PART TWO DO YOU HEAR ME VALVE. I dont mind day of defeat and what not but how can they abandon the multi play that started it all for em.

I'll probably get this, but it does look way too much like Doom III. It just tortures me that Id would let Raven take such a generic sci-fi route again. Quake IV could have looked phenomenal with the old gothic style on the new engine. Oh well, here's the Quake V I guess!

Been playing the single-player all weekend.

It went from mediocre sloppy seconds to pretty being pretty damn fun and addictive.

Then again, I'm a graphic whore, and this game just looks so fucking good all the time.

Try messing with the settings in Fear and you'll see why. Fear can look like an n64 game in 320x240 if you want it to.

What in the heck is wrong with the lighting in that vid. The rockets and lightning had no effect on the eviroment lighting at all. Rockets explosions and rocket trails didnt light up darker areas. That was in Q3 for Gods sake!
