Quake 4 Still looking like ass (new shots)

I'm not sure what kind of idiot you have to be to compare the looks of this game to one that's coming out in 2007.

I'm not saying this dosen't look bad, but come on...

It looks like shit compared to a game that is going to be in stores in a couple of weeks.
Unless you're referring to F.E.A.R. I can't think of a single game that is graphically in the same league as this. We already know Quake IV's multiplayer will be better than F.E.A.R.

good god

LOS ANGELES, CA – (September 16th, 2005) – The countdown to one of the biggest PC game launches this Fall has officially begun, as Vivendi Universal Games (VU Games) today announced the October 18th global street date for F.E.A.R. ™ (First Encounter Assault Recon) from Sierra Entertainment. Additionally, VU Games unveiled plans to release an all-new F.E.A.R. multi-player demo in late September. The multi-player demo will follow on the heels of the hugely successful single-player demo that has reached more than 1.5 million downloads since its release in August, making it one of the most popular game demo downloads in history.

“As evidenced by the popularity of the single-player demo and the early critical praise from game reviewers, F.E.A.R. has already become the must-have game to own this Fall,” said Philip W. O’Neil, Chief Operating Officer and President, North America for VU Games. “Delivering a global street date of October 18, 2005 will ensure that the game simultaneously hits retail shelves around the world on the same day and will enable hundreds of thousands of gamers to experience the thrill of F.E.A.R. together.”

And we console developers are supposed to care what this guy has to say about console hardware and development?

It wasn't Raven software that was complaining about next-gen systems.

I'm not even going to touch the single player, man. Not that I did with the others anyway.

But yeah this still looks appalling, almost entirely due to character design.

Quake 4 on 360 will only have 8-10 players (read: 8 players) on Xbox Live. :)

You love.

8 players online,30fps,pad control,i cant help but laugh at that.i was always going to buy the pc version of this, but seeing as the quake series is pretty much 100% about the multiplayer they've made it a really easy decision for most people as to which version to get.

What a cash-in. Isn't PD0 supposed to have 50 or something. Multiplayer was the only thing left it had going for it
