Holy shit how is 88 Minutes of footage so damn big

Wtf? Thats very impressive.

Minimum? I don't expect it to be a ginormous game, I think you might be a bit disappointed. Obviously I could be wrong, but 10 hours would be good (of gameplay) I'm not expecting more than that personally... they've been quite quiet on length

Minimum as in you just playing normally. No rushing but not too slow either. Just regular pace, slow down sometimes to admire the sights, do some extras but not all...etc.

I'm not to bothered how long it is, I'm selling it as soon as I finish it.
Dying to play it though, might as well get as much back as possible!

Please god, don't tell me you have to have pre-ordered this digitally to be able to pre-load the 75GB episode pack.

Please tell me this isn't the case. I pre-ordered Quantum Break physical disc yesterday and I don't see any option on the XB1 store to download the episode pack.

O_o

I hate to break it to you, but the episode pack is only accessible from "managing the game" from the "my games and apps".... which requires the game to be downloading/installed. (you can only preload if you own the game)

If you really want to preload you can buy game and preload and then cancel preorder, then use disc to unlock and play once you get it. Cancelling preorder is pretty easy, have done it before in ms chat.

4k streaming would become almost impossible should be at least 200GB and streaming 4k is not easy for most people need 1080p option as well

This thread could double as a, "Microsoft, Thank You Very Much For The External Hard Drive Support" appreciation thread.

My 5TB External Drive gobbles up these measly 123.3 Gigabytes like a fat kid eating cup cakes.

4K streaming doesn't make sense. Nothing about this makes sense.

If the 4K stream is compressed most people won't benefit from the 4K resolution anyway. 1080p with higher bit-rate would be a better trade off.

But if it isn't compressed it will buffer a lot for most people ...

I can't imagine a good reason not to have 1080p download on PC though.

Just watched that part 1 + first episode and I really enjoyed it. Game wise, thought the gunplay sounded great, level design looked interesting and the time mechanics looked interesting. TV show, I really enjoyed, thought the acting was great and the direction. Liked the easter eggs also like Alan Wake book by the TV.

So it looks like, yes, it is 4 episodes however there's two main variations of each plus minor variations for each quantum ripple found so I'm not surprised at the file sizes.

They are doing a great job with the sound design:

Wonderful, isn't it. I've got 3TB on my XB1 right now and don't fear running out of space because of exactly that reason. Even though I already crossed the 2TB border in usage.

Short on storage? Here ya go, plug in an extra drive and you're ready to go. No configurations, no screw drivers, nothing is required just a simple USB cable.

Yeah ok, that's what I thought but I thought some were saying you could watch them now if you wanted.
If it's set up as a game's DLC then you'd have to launch the game and watch it that way, but you can't since the game is unreleased. I'm assuming you'll be able to watch the episodes without playing the game once the release date passes, probably just a main menu selection away.

You are in for a suprise.

8 hours including the 20 minute live action cut scenes, so the poster was implying 6 hours of gameplay (people in this thread seem to suggest that the cut scenes are in total ~2 hours-not sure if that's been confirmed). Sorry, but unless you know something that I dont, I find that very hard to believe. That would be terrible and I think unprecedented for Remedy.

It is not because it is unprecedented it is impossible.
