Quantum Break first Review by Jim Sterling

And GTA 5 a 9, Alan Wake a 9. Uncharted 2 a 9.5.
Hmmmm, so Quantum Break is almost as good as these games, a bit more for Uncharted 2 and more for The Last of Us.
Pretty solid, then.

This is basically the spiritual successor to Max Payne. Remedy is going to show Rockstar how it's done.

The two reviews have both been positive. The 3/5 review basically said "the game is freaking awesome but it's too short to be considered incredible."

The 3/5 from CEX...?
Isn't that...a store, a used electronics store?
May as well be from a random person?

What's up, FATALITY? This hot trash Microsoft exclusive isn't even in the same league as the glorious Sony exclusives and even having them in the same sentence would be an heresy of biblical proportions?

Are you drunk tonight? Nothing wrong with that, mind you.

Online MP + Online CO-OP - along a beefy campaign. Lmao...

Anyway good score - seems good. Kinda curious why we have a link to the full review (copied and pasted) when Jim took it down on his site. We already got the final score + a snipet on OP. It's just a day folks.

I was excited reading the news when...

Aaron Greenberg.

So it is nothing.

Careful now...

The Order was a bad game on to of being short. Plenty of short games get high scores.

I think The Order would have actually been a worse game if it was twice as long.

Think of all of the reused QTE boss fights they could have fit into another 8 hours. A bad game that goes on too long is far worse than a bad game that ends in a mercifully shorter period of time.

That's why I really abhor Resident Evil 6's 20+ hour campaigns. I was begging for it to be over by 10.

Well... I guess my predicted 88 still has a chance then.

Getting quotes from devs or execs about their own games pre-release is amusing.

MP3 was great. QB better bring it :P

That's nice to hear, though 'mega hit' is big stretch IMO.
Well Microsoft was talking about Quantum Break being the type of IP that can spawn a franchise, maybe that's where they're taking it if it sells above expectations. At least that's how I interpret the "mega hit" comment.

You didn't know that looking at Amazon's top sellers is the most reliable way to tell how a game is going to do?
Heh

Well, the ending not wrapping out well was the same impression a friend told me, so it seems it's heading that direction. Anyway, now I have to download over 100gb with my creepy internet connection.

Well the ending issues concern me now, but so does the seemingly short length. I'm glad the story seems good, but I was hoping for a jam packed action game like the first two Max Payne games.

Lol, after reading his Black Ops 3 review, yeah, I could care less about his opinion. His reviews almost come across as very heavy on the fanboy slant.

Length isn't of much concern to me, Max Payne 2 was at most 6 hours, but was amazing. I'm hoping for about 9 hours but would be perfectly happy with less if it's as great as it's looking like it is.

Nice review. As with Alan Wake, it seems the narrative is the real strong point. Their creativity in story telling can carry games well enough, though it's a shame about it sharing the lackluster ending quirk of AW.

This is out so soon? Will Nvidia break its current driver curse in time for this game's launch on PC?
