I was so hyped for this game, and all that hype basically died when I started reading how poor the performance of the game was.
Still want to play it, but not from the win10 store. Maybe some day...
At least performance is semi good now?
Its not..

It must depend on your card. I was able to get what seemed like stable 30 and if I mucked with settings I could bump it up to 60.
Yeah pretty much the same here with an overclocked 970 @ 1440p. I'll just stick to it for now, game is fun. Just getting some random occassional stuttering which is weird (game is on SSD).Performance is pretty good on my R9 280X @ 1080p.
At least it´s what I expect from this card at this point of time.
Also stuttering in cutscenes is gone.
- Geometry- and Texturedetail on High
- Everything else on Medium
- AA off
- Upscaling On
= pretty solid 60fps.
Can´t decide which I should go for, but I think it will be 60fps.

I just checked out the Xbox app for the first time and is anyone elses game progress and collectible stats busted? It's like multiple millions for me lol. Also for the 4 achievements I unlocked, only one notification popped up in-game. This game and its software environment are broken on so many levels, it's incredible and sad.
I never got a notification for unlocking an achievement.
Me neither, didn't even realize there were any until I remembered you sign in through your Xbox live account.
Also just got a notification that there's a new Nvidia driver out. Gonna install it and see if it changes anything performance-wise.
I think reconstruction is for performance reasons. Disabling it would cripple performance even more.
I don't understand how people can say the game runs good when they have all the settings on medium. You're running the game at basically xb1 settings but 60 fps with gpus that cost as much as an xb1.

Try running it with these arguments: -process_name QuantumBreak from a command line instance.
E: Well, seems it doesn't work this way for UWP apps? Apparently you need to figure out the PID (Task-Manager -> Details) and run it with -process_id <PID>. Only then it started capturing data for me.
I'm not trying to defend Remedy here (as we all know they screwed up big time here)
We do?
It wasn't Remedy's fault that Microsoft demanded a PC port to be released at the same time as the Xbox One release in order to push their Windows 10/UWP initiative. If Remedy had more time to release a more polished port, as they did with Alan Wake, they wouldn't be in this mess.

Why should I care if marketshare is lower in these threads?Because apparently AMD's marketshare is so pathetic that literally no one in this thread has an AMD card. It is both incredible and scary.
Thanks man!Performance is pretty good on my R9 280X @ 1080p.

What's done is done, and we have no idea what really happened behind the scenes, but we do know Remedy made no attempt to right the ship by saying they'd fix anything. They didn't even comment about adding a quit button, or removing the upscaling, both things just happened out of nowhere AFTER their PR guy basically said "cry moar" to the entire community they built their company's foundation on.
People report that even after disabling upscaling there are still ghosting artifacts, which means some kind of reconstruction is still in effect. No to mention, that disabling upscaling absolutely kills performance, even on a 980Ti.Yes, they did.
Hell, they even addressed the upscaling issue, sometimes they themselves said they probably wouldn't be able to fix because its how their engine worked. But, surprisingly, they fixed that as well

Quantum Break PC im Technik-Test: Der erste Patch bringt Linderung vieler Probleme [Update]
Some benchmarks with a new patch. NV cards are faring better now it seems but overall performance is still pretty bad.
since their prepatch benchmarks are at different settings it snot clear whether performance actually improved
It's improved comparatively unless higher settings are more punishing for GF cards which I don't see any reason for.
what cpu do you have?My experience on 980Ti is as follows - I can play either with upscaling disabled or at 60fps - but not both (and that's on 1080p). I choose fluidity over clarity (image gets blurred during movement anyway) so 60fps with upscaling it is. Or I'll just wait for performance patch or smaller than 28nm video cards, whichever comes first.
Any data to back that up?in this game i believe the ultra preset doesnt max out the volumetric light setting yes? the higher you go with that setting the worse nvidia performance gets. its just catastrophic at the highest level. amd drop off is much lower
i have the same set up as you, and can get 60fps at 1080p with no upscaling. just got to mix between medium and high settingsThe fastest gaming CPU according to Digital Foundry - i7 6700K, currently at stock (because of framerates in that DF article) - does QB has high CPU requirements?
Any data to back that up?
I just uninstalled the game and started redownloading it because that seemed like the easiest and fastest way to patch it. That seems like a totally reasonable thing to do when I've got 52 GB free on my SSD.
I think you misunderstood his point. All he was saying is that the reason there are no AMD benchmarks in this thread is because no one in the thread is using AMD to give you their performance, and apparently no site has taken it upon themselves to provide AMD benchmarks. Why should I care if marketshare is lower in these threads?
I can't tell if my game updated. Says Version 1.7.0.0 is that the latest one?
