Sorry if this seems off topic, but it does kind of apply to gaming as well.
We recently got a HDTV and its all brill and everything, but when we watch a widescreen dvd for example, it still has borders at the top and bottom of the screen - should this happen??
Also sometimes when watching regular TV or cable, the subtitles at the left and right edges sometimes go off the screen, suggesting the full picture is not being displayed. Playing around in the menus and so on doesn't reveal any superior settings. Can anyone shed any light on this or point me in the right direction?
Just to ensure it stays game related (and also I actually want to know) how do you set up the TV to play PS2 games like GT4? Regular TV settings won't do?
Thanks
