If I choose that option for pre-order, does that mean that the store I sent it to will have it on the day they get their normal copies? Or will I have to wait for my individual copy to make it to the store? How exactly does this work?

The preorder is electronically transmitted to the store you choose, it is no different than preordering in that store your copy will be there first day with all the others!

I never really understood why, but at least the in-store returns for orders from the website is pretty cool.

Doesn't EB charge you some stupid fee if you return a game that you preordered and did an in-store pickup of?
