Question about that 'ol CELL patent...

Correct me if I'm wrong...but it seems that the original CELL patent was pretty accurate when it came to the performance number and makeup of CELL..

The patent said that a Processor Element was made up of 8 APUs (@ 32Gflops each) plus one PPC PU, which is pretty much what we got...

Well 8*32Gflops=256Gflops and that, indeed seems to be the performance STI is talking about with a PE...

So *IF* the 1 PE=256Gflops part is correct then is it possible that the BroadBand Engine part is also correct??

According to the Patent, one Broadband Engine has 4 PEs!!!

If so, one "BE" would be a Teraflop chip, no??
