I've got a directory on my site set up so it's password protected and shows the directory listing. I want to set it up so that you can't see the "Parent folder" link, or any of the other folders inside, but so that you CAN see files.

Here's how I've got it set up now

Code:
Options All +Indexes
IndexIgnore .htaccess */*

AuthName "Quickbooks Area"
AuthType Basic
AuthUserFile "/no/way/in/hell/GAF/sorry/.htpasswd"
require valid-user

It's working well in regards to getting rid of the folders, but the */* is removing all files. How do I go about setting it up so that I can view the files?

I really doubt you can do that. You'd probably be better off making an index.php to do a listing to your liking if your host supports php.

I have no idea how to do anything with php.

I'll keep the parent directory if I need to, but I just don't want the lady who uses this section of the site to get confused.

How do I go about just removing the directories? I know you can do it, as I've seen it done.

There might be, but Gaming Age might not be the right place to get an answer :)

On the other hand, digging for the answer has now taught me how to do fancyindexing and prevent some dir from being listed :D

Gaming Age has the answer for everything.

I'm convinced that somewhere in the bowels of this beast reside the answers to all the questions of the universe.
