Hey guys, I'm building a cheap and easy computer for my sister to take with her to University. I've found quite a few cheap micro-ATX motherboards out there that have integrated graphics (since she won't be doing any gaming). But I just need to know if a micro-ATX motherboard would fit fine in a standard ATX case, and if they take the normal PSU's. This is because ATX cases are cheaper than micro-ATX, so it would be better to get one of those.

yes, generally they will. if you check the listings, most cases are approved for both Micro and standard ATX.

My ATX case is a budget case thing and it's about 4 years old and it can handle mini-ATX, micro-ATX and regular ATX and even some other form factor but I can't remember what it's called. So I assume it does fit in whatever case you're going to buy, yes. Also, I think a regular ATX PSU should work fine. My brother has this micro-ATX computer thing with a PSU that's very different but with the same connectors and stuff. The PSU is different I guess because it needs to fit in a smaller case and it doesn't require much power (so it can be small). So, yes. The micro-ATX motherboard should fit in the ATX case and the PSU should work fine as well.
