Far Cry Instincts Footage.

This is the first real nice chunk of footage I've seen of this and I must say I am impressed. The graphics look great, and even more suprising is how smooth the framerate stays throughout. Looks like they have Halo'd up the gameplay a bit with dual wielding, off hand grenades and powerful melee attacks and I also saw his health regenerating near the end of the video. Well I guess if you are going to emulate and FPS you could do a lot worse then Halo.

It definitely looked like it in that video, lots of enemies just kind of stood around and got shot.

Based on the demo the AI isn't too impressive. Once they see you they run forward guns blazing. No strategy at all. I took my knife out and took out guys up close. When you hit them they don't even react to the knife strike. They keep on shooting. On the final blow they then fall down like a half second later. It is strange.

Game looks pretty good. I don't know if I would call it the best looking Xbox game, though. The foliage seemed to take a hit from the PC version. The enviroments don't seem as open, either. You feel like you are going down a more linear path.

Stupid question, i know. But would games of this graphic quality with such large environments and stuff be possible if the Xbox didn't have a harddrive?

AI looks retarded, graphics are clean but animation is weak, the game looks horribly broken.

I gotta say though....someone is going to be spitting out teeth.

I like the demo but still think Riddick looks better. There is a little pop in as well which kills the immersion.
