R.I.P. Stan Lee

I normally don't get too upset when celebs die...but good lord this one stings ..he was a huge part of my childhood ..my first job was in a comic book store...ouch.

RiP -his legacy will live on through the joy and hope his superheroes will bring to kids (and adults) for generations to come.

Never been so sad by the passing away of a celebrity...but man this hit me hard when I heard it on TV.

Rest in piece legend. Now I will cry every time I replay Marvel's Spider-Man, that cameo felt like a Good-bye to me.

RIP Stan Lee, the greatest character you created was yourself.

Rip Stan Lee. Sad to see legends die but I'm glad to know that his creations will continue to remain relevant for years, years, and years to come.

Sad news. These past few years must have been difficult for him, if the allegations that came to light earlier this year are true. Supposedly, he was surrounded by shitty people waiting for him to die (his daughter, his caretaker, probably Marvel, etc) and now that it's finally happened, I hate to see what comes of it.

I just started the Spider-Man PS4 game a few days ago and yeah, I had a premonition he was about to leave us.

I'm not being funny either, I'm totally serious, of course it was strange how Ditko died too just before that game came out and now they've wound up dying the same year, life has strange synchronicities like that.

It's a shame, he was one of those guys you wish could live forever, but I'm sure he was missing his wife and that whole situation with people trying to scam him out of his money wasn't helping.

But the dude will forever be a legend, RIP.

A man is born, he will live and grow. He will get old and eventually dies.
But a legend... Legends never die.

I never knew him personally (something I will regret for the rest of my life), but today I lost a older brother, a dad, a granddaddy, a role model, a guide, a source of inspiration, my best English teacher and the creator of many of my best buddies, the only ones that were there when my life went to shit.

I like to think the afterlife for all those golden age comic guys is a permanently 1940s era New York City where all their heroes are real and they get to hang out with them and each other.

Although some of those guys probably had a few things to hash out first.

Stan Lee was an absolute legend, lived a long life and created a monumental legacy and I hope he finds peace and solace in death. Excelsior!

I'll also never forget his appearance in Mallrats:

I wonder if it's easier or harder for a man like him to die, achieving so much... and leaving so much behind. :messenger_confused:

Goodspeed Mr. Lee.

F. What a guy, what a life.
