Can't wait. Been playing with my group of buddies to prep.

Dude above is right though lol. Looks the same with a few small enhancements. I don't mind so much though. I love Siege and really just need some visual/audio/gameplay adjustments. Still, a sequel would have been great.

Nah I’m good. This isn’t going to revive the game either.

Not doing a sequel is idiotic with how bloated and whacky the game is now. Plus it still looks like a barely ps4 game with the enhancements.

It’s time to move on.

They destroyed the game when they added operators with unrealistic abilities and of course all the colored skins.

Do they have wheelchair man still? I don't play the game but the thought of gunning people down in a wheelchair made me laugh.

like all the old redstorm stuff... it's long dead. rolling in its grave.
The probably is we're getting Siege 2.0 and it launches with a whopping 1 new map. It's basically just a proper current Gen update.

I need a brand new title with 12 new maps at launch to get me excited. If they want to pull over the 10 best maps From Siege go for it.

New game mode seems pretty lame. Granted nobody really knows how to play it at the moment but maaan was it boring. Should have just focused on the core game. Maybe scrubbed some of the now-dated DEI trash. Would much rather just test the supposed engine upgrades in a normal match. Guess that will have to wait for June.

Same. It's also why I probably will never play the Dota or League of Legends again
Man I miss when you got a video game that was just about a US Army infantry team or something. Every game has a super hero aesthetic these days. I’m not even trying to yuck anyone’s yum but can’t we keep a *few* mainstream IPs for people who want to play as regular soldiers?

This game having 74 operators is a major reason why I haven't gone back to give it another shot.
Fair, but tbh they aren't that complicated. Some of them are straight up copies of eachother but on the attackers side vs the defenders. One guy has a hammer that breaks walls. Two people use disorienting gas. Two people throw out cameras that glow when being used. A few people have drones they control (one with a drone that disorients, one with a drone that blows up, one with a drone that shoots little bolts of electricity, one with a drone that takes over electrical equipment). One takes over enemy cameras. Two of them put up durable barriers on windows/doors. Like 5 of the blow up soft/hard walls with either projectiles or placed breaches.

Other than small gimmicks like that, they all play functionally the same. The real difficulty (and fun IMO) of the game comes from memorizing the maps, angles, and strategies in gunfights. IMO the depth siege has makes it one of the best shooters of all time and well worth getting over the initial mental hurdle. You'll mostly play with people in your bracket anyway, and once it goes F2P, the competition shouldn't be so stiff. Worth it if it's still on your radar

Thank you for that explanation. Seems more straightforward than a lot of other hero based games, some of which I play. I'll definitely try it again when X releases.

Ultimately the stats declined for siege, no campaign, urge to spend on cosmetics this is not what people were expecting from Rainbow Six.
