Sounds fun! This year I have to be in Canada for Eid, which I'm disappointed by, but still going to be fun.

It's really fun! In Al Qatif we call it karakshon (Trying to phonetically translate it). I remember as a kid we we had a garbage-bag-sized bag full of candy, chips, peanuts and gum. It was a lot of fun, we would sing and because we were bad kids, we would prank kids (I don't think this was a traditional thing). It's a great community building event, people would always say: "Say hi to your parents. Last night we went to a group iftar, and they handed out candies and chips from back home! I'm excited to dig into them during iftar!

I often contemplate going back for a week to Morocco where I'm originally from to experience Ramadan in a Muslim country. It must be so different––and easier knowing everything adapts to the month.

Today was 31c in London and tomorrow is meant to be even hotter.

I hope the AC is going to work the whole day at my office :(

Congrats to Pakistan-gaf for winning the champions over India. Nice early Eid present for yall. Im still bitter from losing to India in the semis so this made me a little happy. A liiiiitle.

Only time im rooting for Pakistan cricket!

Sometimes it reaches around 50c over here. Air conditioning truly is man's greatest invention.

People underestimate how fulfilling cereal can be, or how reliable it is in a pinch. Just make sure to avoid the sugary ones.

I feel most of it was just muscle, though. Due to a mix of sickness, Ramadan, and general life stuff I couldn't go to the gym at all.

No point in chugging all that water at once, your body will just expel it.

Yeah I know, should've been clearer, It was over the course of 3-4 hours. We get around 5 hours in between sehri and iftar. Dunno how people where these temps aren't normal manage when They have small times in between iftar and sehri.

It might be wrong to say it but I can't wait to finally finish this so I can manage my food and time table better, as well as sleeping.

Yeah, I feel bad for thinking it too, but I have a 2 hour commute with a 45 min drive 30 min train ride, and then 25 min walk to work one way. I've been dead this month, waking up at 3:45 every day and so on.

I don't think it's bad to be glad it will finish soon. It's a struggle.
I always have mixed feelings the days after Ramadan, i feel free again, relieved to have achieve the fast but also kinda sad. Like empty.

I've officially become an uncle at masjid today. For the first time I had to shush the kids running around yelling in the hall. Man I was one of these kids not too long ago lol

Haha awesome read. It took me a while to realize that a lot of the stuff that was taught to me as when I was younger was basically the "kid with a 3 second attention span" version.

Thats awesome! Man I hope I'm able to experience Ramadan in a ME country one of these days. Ramadan was a lot of fun in Dhaka but Karakshon wasnt a thing there. Good times.

This Ramadan went by quickly. Proud to have fasted every day. Tried to keep off music the whole month but couldn't manage that nearly as well as i could have. I have to say managing all the swearing throughout the month went better than i thought. 2 days to Eid

Its definitely a good reset physically and spritually. But I am personally happy to be at the finish line, this year has been rough with a new job.
