Just found out that two vhs tapes of family movies have degraded into a sticky mess. Just kept putting off coverting them to digital..

Was not sure a first what happened it looked like some thing had spilled on them... but they were stored where that could not have happened

Took them apart and the tape had deteriorated beyond saving.
 
My son (3) wanted clothes with Sonic on it, and on one shirt he saw Shadow and was like « who is this ? » and I said « Shadow, a friend of Sonic's », and then « why did they add a friend to Sonic ? » and I was like « nobody knows »

Was on a client Teams call today and an AI assistant joined the call as well to take notes and transcribe the call.

Like it had a separate window and everything...

I hadn't had McDonald's in maybe a year, but got some this past weekend, and had this near-exact thought hours before seeing that tweet.

I get that I see hundreds of posts that don't stick, but it's weird how often a tweet will articulate something so specific. Think I'm getting Pluribus'd. Or data-mined.
 
i actually quite enjoy mcdonalds. i don't eat it much because that's not a good diet but any time i buy something i enjoy it. people might hate it but i like it. it's the only major fast food place i like.

Had a McEgg thing and I felt a weight gain the next day. Ridiculous, really.

I believe the Pluribus theory.
 
i bought a blowtorch and can't stop using it on my food.

bought it for mashed potato but doesn't seem to work so well. good for cheese and sausage. need to try it on some chicken/beef.
 
wouldn't it be better to have phones (even high end ones) with plastic screens, and ship them with pre-applied glass screen protectors?

glass shatters on impact, plastic doesn't... and if the pre-applied glass protector would get damaged, you can just replace it.

today is the first day of the year i've turned my cooling fan on. finally some warm weather!

took it out of storage and dusted it off. only at setting 1 for now. had this puppy cranked up to 10 last summer. time to thaw my bones out.

been thinking about buying a portable AC (we don't really have them here) because a fan alone doesn't seem to be enough at peak of summer anymore.

its alrite, but overall think its a pretty lazy installment in the brand.
 
If someone tried to assassinate me, a new ballroom would be the least of my concerns. Also, Monster Rehab tea+lemonade is peak or goats kino or whatever the kids these days are saying.

Whenever someone disappears around a body of water that's always where they are.

Even a little water is similar to space in that it effectively is unsurvivable beyond a few seconds for an unprepared human. If you don't know water is coming you can't hold your breath. Drowning is one of the most underappreciated risks of our planet.

Cramps, underwater hazards, currents, wrecks into water, trips into water, exhaustion, flooding, you can drown in a tablespoon of water. All large bodies of water are abysses. We are playing in an abyss.

i must admit i did spend some time at the purple looney bin but yeah... got banned and didn't bother anymore. the only other place i know is gamefaqs which is also a shit hole.

tried reddit/discord but didn't like them. i prefer old school forums like this.

i love whales and dolphins but the sea scares me. i hate fish and deep water. if i can't stand with my head above the water then it's too deep. the sea scares me.

last time i was on holiday i wanted to swim with the dolphins but the tank was far too deep...and you had to feed them fish lmao. could swim with piranhas in a shallow tank or give a shark a hug but nope fuck that.
