The behind-the-scenes doc is pretty decent as well. You can see the sorts of discussion that went on for every little detail. About 48 min long or so.Dead said:Whoa, what the fuck
I just got the Blu-Ray, and the 9 or so minutes of deleted scenes seem like they are 100% finished @_@
Combine that with ~5 extra minutes added to the extended version (im assuming there is no overlap), then god damn. Pretty crazy for a movie with CG this good
Just finished rewatching the theatrical version. Easily the best animated film in years! So much personality in every pore of the film.XiaNaphryz said:The behind-the-scenes doc is pretty decent as well.
It's too bad they didn't include a live-action story reel option to be played picture-in-picture like the storyboard reel option.Dead said:Just finished rewatching the theatrical version. Easily the best animated film in years! So much personality in every pore of the film.
The tour of dirt feature on the blu-ray is also really cool!
I still think a parent should watch it first and decide if they should let their kids watch it or not if they're 5 or younger - they would know best if their kid would be able to handle the scarier parts well or not. 6 or older should be fine with it, though some may get bored during some parts.PjotrStroganov said:For anyone who wants to let his/her kids see this. Do it. The movies I learned to appreciate the most at a later age are the ones that were not specifically targeted towards my age group. Watching those movies later on, only made me discover the awesome stuff I didn't understand before.
XiaNaphryz said:So does anyone know why this ended up releasing on a Friday? I can't recall a movie home release done this way before.
The_Technomancer said:Yeah, this was a pretty damn good film. The first and third thirds of the plot were utterly cliche, but the animation was downright stunning. I really should get this on DVD

So does everyone agree that this movie has the highest quality CGI in any animated movie ever? I mean holy shit some of those scenes.... Amazing stuff.
