Rapper 2 Milly accuses Fortnite of stealing his dance moves.

But did he copy-right it? The inventor doesn't always have the rights to the copy-right. Assuming it is copy-righted in the first place.
If he did copyright it and if this would be possible which is not than we would not even have this talk.

I don't think you understand the definition of "stole" lol.
ok lets ask differently. Do you think he paid the person out who he got the moves from? A Person who most likely needed the money much more than him?

And what do you think would 2 Milly do if this peson comes up and says he wants some money for this move he gto from him/her?

In the OP it said it's no longer purchasable but those who already paid for it still can use it.
Welp! That right there shows that this isn't some dumb story like some in this thread are making it out to be. Epic is at least acknowledging that there could be something there, there.
You got it with the season 5 battle pass if you leveled up enough. It was never for sale on it's own and probably never will be. I don't think they sell battle pass rewards on their own.

None of this actually matters since the dance wasn't copyrighted.

it actually does because he did the same thing he accuses epic of. This guy is not a victim this guy is a greedy asshole who wnated to make a profit of something more popular than him,

And Epic wanted to make profit from something that was popular with the people from the streets. They wanted the "cool" factor and profit so they put the dance in the game. What's wrong with profitting?

Nothing but it is hypocritical do accuse someone of something he did before. It is like "its bad to steal from people" while breaking into a house....

But he didn't steal the dance from anybody. I know you are from Germany, so I can't expect you to understand some things. But if you are apart of the culture and from the same hood, you can't steal from it. In hip-hop things feed on themselves in a way. So if one guy makes up a new term/word, then the neighborhood starts to use it, then the whole city starts to use it, and finally, a rapper starts to use it. If that word gets crazy popular within the world 2 years later, the rapper from that city gets the credit for it's "creation".

legally this is really stupid.... Sorry to say this.....

This is why Jet Lee refused to have all his stunt moves captured for the Matrix movie.

Who knows what people would do with the data?

I know, which is why I'm not speaking legally. This isn't a legal battle 2 Milly can win. This whole time I've been talking ethics. Not legal stuff.
