RE2 is still the BOMB

I think the original RE is still the most underrated in the series.

Totally agree. While I loved 2 and thought it was a great sequel opening the city and such, the original was the creepiest. I just had the best time playing that game. RE3 was fun but too similar to 2. I didn't very much enjoy CV. Remake was a very nice addition too. But yeah, I still think the original is the most underrated. It wasn't just the starting point for the series, it was a great game. And the dialogue was absolutely hilarious. Gonna get cracking on 4 today :)

Are RE2 and 3 for the Cube hard to find? That's what I've heard, but I remember seeing them both at the EB I go to on several different occasions. I plan on picking them up to get the whole RE series for the Cube, but if they're rare I'll probably try and go get them fairly soon so I don't end up missing them.

I think most people are put off from RE 0 because of the difficulty. So many enemies, so little ammo, so little running space. I loved every second of it :)

I also loved RE0, though not as much as Remake or re2. There were so many enemy types that you never knew what would be on the other side of the door. Plus Billy's flashback scene was cool and those leech zombies gave me the creeps.

I need to get RE4, but I have a full time job and I'm a full time student...

they're pretty hard to find and do fetch a fair amount on Ebay If I was you I would grab them as soon as I see them next

I got both of mine when they came out and I remember working at a Funcoland at the time we only got maybe 3 or 4 of each in and never got resupplied with them

I really dig RE2. Too bad my new XP SP2 PC can't run my PC Platinum version anymore. :/

A few screens I took from it before XP came along and ruined the party (should never have sold my DC version back then)...

There is one BIG spoiler shot in there regarding Ada and the Leon B end-game! Might be fun to see especially for those who only played RE4...

The other two just show the ranking screen.

Capcom need to remake RE2 based on the RE1.5 that was shown in several magazines...Wereeolves, Modern sci-fi police station ect before it was scrapped.

RE2 is the only RE game that I actually enjoyed. I may end up getting RE4 at some point, but after the bitter disappointment of CV and the bowel-wrenching crapness of RE3, I'm passing for the moment. It may be the best game of all time, but you know what? Fuck you, Capcom.

you are missing by far the best game in the series then. CV sucked. so did RE3. and RE2 was good but NOTHING, NOTHING compared to the gobsmacking goodness that is RE4. why are you so hesitent to get RE4? its awesome. even RE2 sucks in comparison.

I'd liken it to Alien and Aliens. RE had more atmosphere and was very tense and puzzle driven. The thing is- where do you go in a sequel apart from to up the action and add loads more zombies and monsters to kill.

ok Resident Evil 2 (and 3) can someone explain the differences between the PS1, PC, DC and GCN versions? RE2 was never totally remade like RE Remake/Rebirth, correct? only SLIGHTLY upgraded for PC, DC and GCN, from the PS1 original right?

Isn't that Elza (the original female lead of RE2)?

There are 2 versions of Resident evil 2, one is the hardcore original game for PSX with only digital control ( D PAD) , while the upgrade added analog support and an arranged mode wehre you start the game with a few more items .

Resident evil 3, to the best of my knowledge has nothing special , just the normal old version and one with Billinear filtering.

I'll get it when it's on offer at a ridiculous price and they give me free beer and hookers with it. This is why it's best not to be an early adopter.

Get a job so you have money. Then buy it. It's only $50. JEEZ!!
