I bought from this seller about a year ago. I can't tell you whether it's an official pad or not(probably not), but the pad looks and feel like the real pad and it works as you'd expect.

You can get one that is definitely real if you sign up for that PlaySEGA thing that was discussed here recently.

It will be "real enough", but you won't be 100 percent sure unless it is the PlaySEGA pad. If you look at Shoryuken, you will find out that even though some are real, and some are "real enough", there is little difference, It is also apparently getting harder and harder to tell the difference.

The responses muck it all up. Not sure to buy now. This was gonna be an extra controller and I also wanted to mount one in Hori stick for a saturn mod.

Couldn't you use like, any pad on the planet if you're just going to use it as the electronics for a stick mod?

But I wanted to order one for the collection and one for a mod. Used saturn pads go fro cheap on eBay. Just figured I'd order two and get it out of the way.

Word is "if they're not official, they might as well be". I grabbed a couple and am happy as larry with them, though we only use them for MAME sessions.
