The market for AA action games isn't always a sure thing. For a comparison, I consider Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden to be a really solid game--much better than Unknown 9, too--and it also didn't sell well. Even IGN scored Unknown 9 a 5/10, so its pretty clear its a mediocre title. Not that I care to go into the "woke/anti-woke" craziness, but assuming its true here, not even the "modern audience" bought the game. If it really was just chuds not buying the game, then surely the non-chuds would still purchase it.
All I see is a mediocre game that likely spent its budget on securing the lead actress than improving the gameplay. All that being said, I have a soft spot for AA games, so I will be getting this eventually when it gets a price drop (And Flintlock, too, waiting for that one to get a deep discount).
