Good afternoon RP GAF. Yeah feeling a bit like a loser as I'm just now (well the haiku was the first post of mine here) finding this thread.

My GF wanted to dump me because she has so much shit in her life and is feeling smothered by it and now by me. I love her so I settled on just giving her space.

Sheepishly I played I won't give up by Jason Mraz. I love her folks. Wish me luck!

Sorry to derail the coke and cheese meal :P

Not for nothing, but I've never had an experience where "I need space" or "Let's take a break" has lead to to anything good.

Not saying it's impossible, just not likely if anecdotal data is anything to go by.

Interesting trivia, although now chai tea is a much different black tea than say the english breakfast. I appreciate a good cup of chai. Any tea, really.

The Turks drink it like water, it's usually frowned upon for restaurants to charge for it...I'll admit my taste for it grew while I was over there.

OMG. Are you sure we don't live together? That's practically the exact same thing I ate this morning, minus the zaetoon (they were on the table, just hate them lol).

Zait & Zatar is so good when i'm in the mood for it, so is that strong feta cheese with some nice bread. I've gotten used to these traditional family foods but I still step back sometimes and say 'mmm this is good shit'.

Hahaha yeah I think this dish is very Syrian (i think my dad bought all this stuff from a Syrian market anyway haha). I wish we had some feta cheese though, I think what we had was Bulgarian.

Obligatory: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNiba26dehc

I'm a night person. I have done that before. There is nothing more beautiful than not having to get up in the morning and having a lie in. lol

I also love dreaming. Dreams can be such an amazing thing.

I have the most ridiculously weird dreams. I love them. Even the ones that most would consider nightmares are like awesome adventures to me.

I am an olive fan but I hate the way "olive bars" are set up in fancypants grocery stores. The sign might as well read "BAD IDEA, MOVE ALONG"

That's why I get my fresh olives from this nice italian deli near me. Jarred olives can also be great.

I'm not sure I would consider nightmares awesome. I hate the ones where when you wake up, you're not sure if it was real or a dream.

I love when you have a really nice vivid dream. The sort of one where you're kind of sad that you've woken up from it.

I'm 100% with you. If a girl says that to you, its pretty much a death knell.

When I played basketball (I was comparatively tall in middle school and progressively less comparatively tall each year after), I used to end up taking 2-4 ibuprofen a night due to practice.

Those things can give you some vivid, intense dreams. Like, I used to yell at people for waking me up when I had a dream after taking too much ibuprofen.

That happens to me all the time. Mostly because I have a ton of dreams where I can do magic or have superpowers. I get so depressed when I wake up and it takes a moment to realize that it's not true.

Tea in Turkish is "Çay", pronounced like Chai...

Always thought it was kind of amusing for it to be called Tea Tea by Starbucks and the like.

Yeah, it's another Westernism that got lost in translation. When Starbucks offers you "Chai Tea" what they're really offering you is "Masala Tea".

I've had the superpower dreams too. The flying ones are weird because I can't quite fly in them. I sort of float a bit and then drop to the ground. I think it is because you're mind is aware of gravity.

It definitely depends on the relationship. If you're just leaving honeymoon period and have been living out of each other's pockets for the whole time then it's just a part of moving into regular relationship mode. If you're in a fairly casual thing where you go out a few times a week and stay over now and then you might as well dust off your dancing-shoes and call up your favourite wingman because you gonna get dumped.

Oooohh really? I just searched that up and it's not something I've ever had LOL. The tea we make is sorta like black tea.

The tradition is practically the same for my family. Back in China they would almost exclusively drink tea with everything, from breakfast to dinner. When a few of my older family members first moved here in New York, they were a bit culture shocked when I drink water during meals. Filtered water no less but I still see them looking perplexed that I'm not drinking tea instead.

I don't have the heart to tell them that you have to pay for tea outside of Chinese restaurants.

I always thought it was so cool how you can get unlimited refills of tea at Chinese restaurants.

WAIT A MINUTE. I actually heard of masala tea before! I work in a coffee shop and I've been asked if we carry masala tea. Now I can say for sure we do.

The best dreams is where you realize your in a dream and you can control it. It's only happened to me a few times and I always wake up shortly thereafter dammit. Right when I'm about to join up with Batman usually.

I better walk my dog anyway. It's funny how dogs know when it's time to have their walk. It's like they have a inbuilt clock or something. :D

9pm is when my dog is ready for his evening walk. And this discounts that he's always ready for his first walk as soon as I wake up, and his second walk as soon as I get home from work.

And on days when I am home all day he is ready for dinner at 5pm, no matter when he has breakfast he wants dinner at 5. Even though on work days he gets dinner after 6.

in india chai would just be regular tea with milk, while chai masala is the awesomer one, both kinds are filled with so much sugar as well, it gets addicting.

Oh my fucking god I'm having a mind blowing moment. In Chinese, tea is pronounced as "cha." It never occurred to me until now that it sounds similar to chai.

I love those!

"I can get away with this because I know it's a dream"

muahaha

All the girls in work keep sexually assaulting me.

Young and older. My arse is not a touch and feel plushie.

Stealthbrag, I kinda enjoy it, even the old wifeys

Japanese is ocha.

I know! Sometimes when I wake up I just sit for 5-10 minutes trying to commit the dream to memory, so I don't loose it. Often I can only remember the main points, though.

I keep a notepad by my bed for situations like this

I was in a situation a week or so back that I was having this amazingly intense dream and woke up to go use the bathroom. When I went back to bed, I was actually pissed at myself for not dreaming up a good ending.

That happens to me a lot. The dreams just don't have an ending and I wake up in like the middle of the story.

I don't dream often due to my sleep apnea but when I do, sometimes I will notice something is off and I can trigger a lucid dream. It's like I will stop whatever it is I'm doing and say to myself, I'm dreaming. Then I will test the boundaries of what I can do in the dream. I usually start creating things out of thin air and then I always resort to flying.

My dreams are always about power. I put a lot of emphasis on self-reliance, so I have dreams where I feel helpless which reflect my desire to always be in control of the situation. However, being too self-reliant can leave you isolated, so I have other dreams where I feel in control but alienated which reflect my desire to always feel loved.

If i'm not mistaken, isn't Soru the one who never dates women that aren't older then them by ten years? :lol
