We got hit with a decent storm earlier in the week. Probably around 4 or 5 inches. It's about halfway melted now.

I'm sorry.It can be a bit hard at college at first. If it's any consolation, I have no friends here either (where I live now). Just the cat. And she's always plotting to kill me.
Same boat here. Moved to Denver 5 year ago but have made 1 or 2 friends.this has been the first time that friendships haven't happened naturally. That's been really tough on me.

I dunno if it's age, but I really can't take hangovers anymore. They're way more brutal now than they were when I was in college.
That started for me about four years ago. My stomach especially will kick my ass the next day if I really get wasted anymore.
Yup. I'm basically done with drinking outside one or two rum and cokes on the weekend.

Five or six? I'm a lightweight so yea. Depends on the drinks too. If they're light probably around 8-9.
there are many variables involved here.
It seems that for me it depends on what I ate, how physically active I was, and if I fell asleep.
Also Vodka never seems to give me a hangover.

Just had to make my first 999 call (911 for americans) just witnessed someone take an epileptic fit, so scary.
Too many variables in fact. For me its lack of food and mixing alcohol, but there's still a really fine line for me of being drunk and about-to-be-sick. I'm guessing for me... anywhere over 5-6 shots/drinks is "slow down" territory.
I didn't drink last night, so no worries!

It's horrible, I saw it happen in a Tesco (supermarket) once. They blocked off the milk aisle to give him space but it didn't stop them sending employees down to collect groceries for people! They even put out an announcement for a first-aider but there wasn't one in the store. This was one of their larger 'Extra' stores too, it was disgraceful. If the paramedics hadn't shown up as quickly as they did I wouldn't be surprised if that guy hadn't made it.

Yeah, a year or two ago when I witnessed two cars collide head on at an intersection in downtown Houston, I called 911. They asked me too many weird questions, but it 'felt good'.
One of the cars were totally fucking flipped over and in the grass/curb/sidewalk, and the other was totaled and the interesting street was filled with oil everywhere.
This was around 3AM, there was a huge crew of people who came out and cleaned the oil and shit up, and it was ready by morning. Crazy, the guy/girl ended up being a drunk driver (going the wrong way/lane).
To this day I don't know if anyone died or what..

I don't drink much anymore, I'll have a beer watching football (soccer) or fake football, but I never get drunk anymore. Not remembering how you got home and also not remembering half of the things you did is not something I care for anymore. I got myself a "girlfriend" this way. It was not easy telling her in a smooth way that I actually had no feelings for her.
I haven't been super drunk many times and I'm happy with that, I'll stop drinking after 2-4 drinks.

If I'm in a good mood, hangovers come pretty easily. Especially with vodka.

I had to do this at work once. It was really scary to see. I was calm and all on the phone, but seeing the woman's seziures... ugh, I felt so sorry for her. She then hit her head when she fell, it felt like slowmo and but everything happened so fast. She had her mother and daughter with her, it was really heartbreaking. After the 911 call I took the daughter away and didn't let her get close to her mother. The daughter was 4-5 years old so she didn't really get what was happening. Co-workers and customers tried to help the woman the best they could until the ambulance arrived 30-35 minutes later.

Yeah the woman on the phone kept giving me instructions and asking me question which was difficult to keep up with as I was trying not to panic. That is stupid dude, drunk drivers are idiotic beyond belief.
Yeah it is heartbreaking to see people go through that, in this case the guy is my mate and he forgot to take his medication. What saved him was he felt the fit coming on quickly took his medication and went into the fit he had a few fits back to back.
On the subject of alcohol. I can't drink, I don't feel the effects even though it does still effect me. I feel completely sober but to everyone else I look drunk as shit. For me thats too dangerous because I can consume too much without realising it. However the reason this happens is my own fault, so I don't feel bad about it.

The odd thing is that, as a smoker, the number of cigarettes I smoke over the course of the night will have the biggest bearing on whether I get a hangover or not. If I smoke a whole pack over several hours I'll feel like absolute garbage the next day even if I only have a few drinks, but if I only smoke a few I can drink quite a bit without feeling too shabby the next day.
I usually only get drunk "accidentally" these days, though during summer it can feel like a pathological accident.

Really depends, but i'd say, 12-15 beers will give me a hangover the next day. But there are times i drink more then that and i'm fine, and times when i feel like shit after 5 beers.

It is actually against health & safety regulations to have no first aider in store, but hey it's Tesco and they get away with much worse. And yes it is the same edgefusion! I would never have kept this stupid username all these years if it weren't for the guarantee that nobody else would ever have it, haha. I certainly do remember the name BaldChart although it's been so long since I participated over there I don't remember much other than that, sorry.

I haven't even gone to see the Greybeards yet and I'm like 30 hours in.
I think it was around that time when I finally went and did the quest that gets dragons to spawn. Then I went to the Greybeards and hadn't touched it since. Now I'm 2/3rds done with it. Woohoo!
Speaking of alphabetizing games... I don't. I put games in order of series, and then sometimes publisher (but sometimes the games have so little relationship to each other I don't bother) and then by relationship. Like, if I know that two series have some of the same people who worked on them, I'm more likely to put them together than series completely unrelated.
I do the same with books too. In fact, I often order things by author relations. For example, two authors I have are married, so even though her last name begins with M, and his with D, they are shelved together. It is also convenient to shelve authors who have worked on books together, so Gaiman and Pratchett are glued together by Good Omens.
