It really is the best <333

We've actually been watching it all this month starting from the first season :o It's interesting to see how things changed so much in the later seasons!

While I'll definitely watch TNG and DS9 I still love the original series best of all. I don't even mind the cheesiness.

This is exactly, EXACTLY how I feel. It's like the beard contains all of his power :<

That was the beard that started my love affair.

Crunched, are you gay, because if you are, I'm willing to get on all fours and be fingerbanged.

And no I'm not gay. I am drunk. Maybe that's why I said that.

And Lissar likes Star Trek? Girl, you're like the hottest nerd on GAF.

Try not to post like this, please. On both counts: don't post so drunk, don't post so vulgar.

Probably a bad idea. I can actually feel Opiate's finger moving closer to the lock button, like a spectral shiver creeping down my spine.

edit: See, Stet feels it too.

I am indeed here.

get back on the topic at hand people

Long day~

Did some actual Real Grown Up Person Work and then my brother called and said he left his wallet at his apartment so I picked him up and drove him there an hour north, we got some kebabs, and then we drove home an hour back.

You never went to summer camp? No one ever taught you the Hokey Pokey as a child? O_o

these body part songs build us up as healthy adults

kids are strange creatures.

I remember when I heard this one "your mama so pretty she got meatballs for her..." =_=

SHM

so nothing new here bud
Yeah, a fundamentalist Christian summer camp.

And I was taught the hokey pokey but it's only about arms, hands, legs, and feet. Right? >_>

Basically, I had a very sheltered and religious upbringing.

Anyways, I see that our omnipotent and omnipresent mod, Opiate, is here. Let us not invoke the mod's wrath.

I only just recently learned that those suckers
drop out of your bodies like long forgotten, amazingly hidden easter eggs
one special day. O_O

I'm so used to them being there I'd basically forgotten about this until one day one of my younger cousins started running around the house naked and I thought something was wrong with him until I remembered.

I want to like it but I can't get over the cheesiness. Actually, I definitely feel the first season of TNG has some of that cheesiness and that's one reason it feels so different from the later seasons.

Not that TNG doesn't have some weird episodes here and there >>

I'm sure there are tons of things guys don't know about womens bodies. Hell, I myself was learning new things about them in the Girl-GAF thread today.
a bit of wisdom for guygaf: when your wife says she needs to get pads, don't thoughtlessly ask "are you bleeding?". That was three days ago and I am still being mocked for it lol

Riker! I love Picard and Data more, though.

Are you kidding? It was ALL about Worf.

Oh yeah.

I can watch a lot of old cheesy shows. The characters were just so much better. Also, I loved the little morals you got out of every episode.

Counterpoint: It's hard watching from season two because it has Pulaski and no Yar.

Yar comes back... lol

That is one of the worst moments ever. "Here's a character who's played by the same person but is different but is her impossible daughter or something"

I never liked Star trek and I never watched Star Wars till the new trilogy. I enjoyed them and decided not to see the older movies till i saw return of the sith to see the movies in order.

Hahah. Just so you know, and I'm breaking the guy code here, but blue balls are a myth.
Yeah no they're real, physically evidenced by inflammation. It's tough to explain to someone who hasn't experienced it. It's not something that happens consistently, but it's something that happens.

SA named it is correctly above: vasoconstriction is what causes the pain, and it can feel like being kicked in the groin.

Which Star Trek movie (with Picard) featured William Shatner, where they're in Iowa or something, and Shatner is totally obvious to the fact that he's not in the real world or something? I liked that scene.

Picard and Data! :D

Funnily enough my fiiance has never watched Star Trek, and I have never watched Star Wars. My fiance and I always joke argue about which is better.

Oh no, so he lied? He looked genuinely in pain, though, wouldn't let me touch or go near it at all.

It doesn't happen to every male, either.

Some guys can take it like champs, some never have it, some rare cases get blue balls by flirting with an attractive woman and not going home and ejaculating that hour.

But man...it's not fun. It's hard to even walk around when it happens.

I was kidding, Opiate. But I'll tone it down. :)

In real life, I'm not quite as aloof and stodgy as I appear to be on GAF. This is for a reason, though; while you may have been "just kidding," the problems arise when you get 20 people in a row who are "just kidding." A racist joke, for example, can be harmless in isolation, and particularly if you are with a small group of friends who know you especially well. But when there are 10 or 20 racist jokes instead of just 1, and it's in a public place where people cannot be absolutely certain they know the content of your character, these sorts of situations become more dangerous.

Despite the reputation of online internet forums (let alone gaming forums in particular), I hold people to higher standards here than I would if you were my friend in real life and we were talking alone.

I hope that doesn't seem offensive -- I just want everyone to understand why I seem to be such a stick in the mud. It's more difficult to maintain civil discourse in a crowd of thousands than it is in a small gathering of friends.

You sure are thorough for a bond villain!

I'm a bond villain now? The analysis of my appearance seems to jump wildly on a daily basis.
