I think Lissar closed GAF so she could get work done.

Meanwhile, I'm being responsible by playing video games and posting! Some people, you know what I mean?

I really should have closed GAF a while ago to get some work done but I ended up in another stupid argument over in gaming instead.

Okay, RP thread. I'm genuinely curious. When was the last time you were like "Man, life is fucking awesome right now"?

That's a good one. It was actually fairly recently, there was a brief period a couple of months ago where it looked like I might land my dream job and my dream girl. The former may still eventuate but the latter was all bad.

a family member had a bout with cancer two years back. Went through chemo and everything and recovered. Few months ago she had signs pointing to it coming back in another body part which is common for the type of cancer she had. It's also more deadly. When the Doctor came out after the operation and told us she was fine and it wasn't cancerous it was the happiest moment in my life. I can't imagine a better feeling. The relief was above and beyond elation.

I honestly don't know. Probably middle school or something. Maybe certain points in high school.

Paging Lissar and Alberto to keep the thread alive.

Is it that obvious how much I post? >> How sad.

Anyway, got some good studying in, and I think I can post and study at the same time now. My brain feels back on track.

Took some, um, "smile" pics a minute ago so people would stop picking on me. But they're only webcam pictures because I couldn't be bothered to look for the camera again.

When I felt life was awesome -

Seeing a secret concert in Tokyo of a band I liked. Nearly got trampled too. Fun times.

Walking through Kyoto on a spring night with a friend and a few beers. Everything was closed but the lights were beautiful.

When I met my boyfriend for the first time (I know, it's cheesy, sorry.)

I've only ever seen an opera once. And it was AWESOME. It was Candide, which was more of a parody of operas and other such things. I loved it. I and a few friends from choir went to see it since we were performing a song from it. The contrast between what I thought the opera was going to be about based upon the song we were singing and the actual musical was jarring.

I really need to the same. :/

As for your second question, probably around Thanksgiving last year, my family and I all drove from CA to a tiny town in the mountains in NM and met up there with all of my uncles, aunts, and most of my cousins. Had a hell of a great time hanging out and catching up, playing games, doing karaoke, watching football...and oh yeah, probably the best meal I've ever had. It made me realize that, once again, I have an awesome family all around. (Seriously, my uncle smoked us some brisket and we had brisket breakfast tacos, I mean holy geez!)

EDIT: Congrats thetrin!

Just got the best email of the week. The Secretary of State for Colorado has okayed my company!

Cynch Media, Inc. is an official company!

Mine was when I first moved to England, there was a girl who I was sitting next to on the plane that also happened to be going to my college. We were sitting on a bench in the town center at midnight, eating kebabs because we both missed dinner, and talking about our lives.

She was so beautiful and despite the fact that nothing ever came from that (she was laughably out of my league and had a boyfriend besides), it was seriously a movie-like moment for me.

I've been a writer all my life and the most stimulating thing to me is finding sensations or moments that I can't describe with words. They're simultaneously awe-inspiring and frustrating. That was one of those times.

Nah it's just that you and Alberto are both good at stimulating discussion, and generally make entertaining contributions.

That's totally cheesy. Excuse me, there's something in my eye.

Oh good, as long as all my posts are quality!

Anyway, "smile" pic. I know it's pretty bad, but eh. I'll keep it up for a day I guess. I just had to fit my linguistic textbooks into the picture. I'm a nerd like that.

It looks fine, lord knows I've put up worse pictures than that.

I should switch for the end of Hat Tuesday soon, but no harm in keeping it a little longer.

(At least that's what I thought of after reading this)

It's not for everyone (i.e. I can understand why people don't like it at all), but I love it. I still hold a grudge against Sean Penn for robbing Bill Murray of Best Actor for this on Oscar night.

Late to the hat party but I bought a korean knit hat this evening, first floppy hat I've ever owned. Plan to buy more hats soon now that I don't need glasses anymore. Wasn't a fan of having too many cranium accessories.

Hi RP GAF. I went to bed early and woke up early (huh, funny how that works isn't it).

It's 5:42 here and I feel fiiiine. Bit hungry but I've got some chocolate orange here to eat up before I decide to have proper food.

Did the PRK laser surgery in mid Dec, still recovering though. Just noticed that my left eye is kinda closed compared to my right in the pic I took.. probably because I can only see clear out of my right eye today.

I really can't stand this movie... everyone always thinks I should enjoy it considering how much time I've spent in Japan, but to me it just comes off as "Haha, Japan is weird!" I know, I know, that isn't what the story is really about. But I find it distracting.

I tried this last night. Went to bed at 10pm hoping to wake up around 10 in the morning, I didn't wake up until my usual time anyway(12) Still tired as can be. :( I think its the fact that I know I have to go to work as soon as I wake so I guess it's that.

Rinoa you are an extraordinarily beautiful woman, I wouldn't be too worried about having one eye closed a little more than the other :P

Anyway, ouch on the PRK recovery. Hope it's not too uncomfortable, I know it's usually a lot slower to recover from than lasik.

Man, I wish I could live up to that image.

You do bro. In my mind.

I can see that - the scene where Scarlet Johansson explores Japan on her own balanced it out enough for me.

Point taken!

I need to smile so I can properly hit on all the LadyGAFfers.

You don't need to change for me, sugarcakes. I love you just how you are, brooding smile and all!

She was my main in SC3 :D
I <3 the crazy.

I loved her in 3. I also cosplayed alternate Amy from 4. Soul Calibur has some of the best costumes of any game. Eagerly waiting 5.
I'm almost certain that Viola is really going to be an amnesiac Amy.

I think I'm the only one left of serious face gaf... :/

Nah, definitely not the only one! I won't be keeping this one for longer than a day though. It's too half-assed a picture.

You always know the brooding ones are the deep thinkers!

Especially when they have hearts on their faces!
