As long as all that stuff on there is stuff you can actually do, then you're golden.

While interviewing, I love nothing more than catching someone in a lie on their Resume... I may be an evil person, but watching them sweat while trying to come up with an answer to a question they did not expect to hear is fantastic.

Well technically I did learn how to do all of that in school, but I'm not so sure I could come up with something like a business or financial plan on the fly. I'm pretty good talking to people but getting asked shit like that in an interview is something I hate. They always ask something like "how would you troubleshoot a printer issue?" or "What are your ideas on making our business more profitable?" and I'm terrible at things like that.

Perfect timing on getting up

See the Syrian baby topic, and then see a YT vid of a woman actually taking a shit in a supermarket and walking away....

What a morning
I was at some downtown bars one night and watched a middle aged woman drop a deuce on the sidewalk, then get up and walk into a bar. There were people everywhere. She did just not give a fuck.

I feel like I'm on Twitter trying to type this message with a character limit! This is what I am going with and it's really all I can fit. They do design websites and for the most part I can code in HTML, but I probably couldn't code a major website like GiantBomb or anything like that. I just don't want to lead someone on with them thinking I know more than I do.

I am a recent graduate with a unique combination of technical experience and business skills. I have project management training and am knowledgeable in social media with a decent proficiency in HTML and ColdFusion.

As long as you can back it up I say make grandiose claims about yourself. That's how I got my current job. I never had any experience in either Management or Quality, I just made all these crazy claims and then backed them up in the interview. Make yourself sound good, just don't say that you can code in your sleep or you type 500 wpm or something.

mid day update on what I have accomplished at work today

To finish up for omgkitty:

That form looks like a general kind of Contact Us form.

Use it like you are saying, but also find out if there is a way to physically send them your Resume via E-Mail or Mail or Fax or what-have-you. If they get your Resume AND you come up in their Contact database, then that increases the chances that someone takes a second look at you.

Thanks for the advice. I've never been a coder and haven't been very good at it while I was in class with HTML being the only thing I really excelled in. My major was Systems Analysis, so technically my major is focused more at having basic understandings of the languages so that I can instruct others who do code and know what they are doing. I'm honestly starting to wish I had gotten a different degree now.

Alright I think I will send them a message on Twitter and see if I can send in a resume. Use my social media skills! haha

I'm not sure what forum this is but I'm a police officer and I just found someone dead at this desk with this page open so I thought you should all know.

mid day update on what I have accomplished at work today

It took you half a day to beat 1 stage?? haha

I noticed people were doing (real?) ghost stories a page or two back so I'm going to chime in with mine:

-The first place I lived in during my stint in Japan was haunted.
It was a very traditional style place with sliding closet doors and tatami flooring - a lot like the house in the movie Ju-On/The Grudge.
The apartment was 2 floors, almost like a mini-townhouse, and was at the very end of a row of 5 identical apartments. There were 2 large tatami rooms upstairs, with a living room, kitchen, and bathroom/shower areas downstairs. I slept in the tatami room directly above the living room.

When I first moved in, I had a neighbor right next door so I'd often hear noises upstairs like footsteps or closets sliding open and just assumed I could hear the neighbor through the wall/floor.

About 6 months later, all of my neighbors except the one all the way at the far end moved out. But......the noises didn't stop. Almost every night I'd hear footsteps and a closet sliding open above me while I sat in my living room. I still was brave enough to sleep up there, but not before turning on every light and checking every closet.

Until something happened the next Winter...

Living in Japan I had to hang my laundry to dry and, as it was too cold to put outside in Winter, I would hang it on the curtain racks in front of my upstairs windows. One morning when I was getting ready for work, I went upstairs to grab an undershirt that had been drying in the spare tatami room (not the one I slept in). As it was warmer inside than outside, there was a bit of condensation on the inside of the window. I went to grab the shirt when I noticed something strange.

There was a perfect, tiny handprint in the condensation on the inside of the window.

I have giant hands (I'm 6'5") and I hadn't had anyone in the apartment for months so I freaked out quite a bit.
Needless to say, that was the last day I ever went into my upstairs bedrooms at night.

I'm bored.

I'm at the level of boredom that I get to where I just want to have a really dumb argument about music with someone.

Unfortunately I don't know any 13 year old metalheads to tell them that punk is way better.

Damn.

Here, let me play 13-year-old devil's advocate and then leave the thread for you to rage in.

Green Day is the best punk band of all time.

you just reminded me how i forgot my wii classic controller pro at home .....;__;.

Been playing The Last Story, and it's making me love the CC Pro. I always loved it, but I haven't really played with it since I played Xenoblade last year. It really is a fantastic controller.

Speaking of animorphs again (lol), what do you guys think fellow gaffers look like, animal wise? i.e.;

Going off of those on this page, thetrin reminds me of a panda bear maybe, and la1n has that little fox look going on... kinda like that furry character in CHEEZMOs old av. :lol

oh, Ashes reminds me of arthur from the cartoon, so he would be an anteater.

I'm using a Saturn USB pad.

I can't get my DVD drive to recognize my Last Story disc, so I can't even dump it to ISO to play on Dolphin. So I'm stuck playing it on my Wii. :(

I'm not kidding when I say that every girl I've ever dated has called me a big teddy bear...and they never spoke to each other.

Screw it, I'm rollin' with Animorph Wednesday.
FYI TO EVERYONE, no way in hell i'm putting your creepy animophed faces in that collage at the end of the month, hell to the no.

(and thank god that was the last post of the last page and not the first post of this page; phew)

Er, have you been trying to get a response out of me for a while? This thread moves so damn fast.
No, but they thought I was being stupid and that it wasn't you in the av. :p

btw, I think in the last couple of days, I might finally give in to these theme days, and just swap avatars with random folks. Confuse everybody.
You should, i've been sick and tired of your avatar from the day after you put it up, lol.

Well it looks like I'm going to have to spend today applying for jobs. Wish me luck gaf.

Just keep in mind two things:

1) Looking for a job is a full time job
2) Never give up. Keep trying. The more resumes you put out, the more likely you are to strike gold.

It's a tough market out there. Good luck!
