Yeah. I'm looking through the "Scare the crap out of me" thread and found that it instantly makes everything non-scary and happy. Pleasant voice. Need to turn it off or I'll never get it out of my head.
Yeah. The more you listen to it, the harder it is to get out of your head. It's the constant repetition. That happens to me when trying to go to sleep after being in a club all night. I can still hear the music in my head.
Quiet night. Much more active last night. To be expected really.
Went for a walk around town. It was a nice walk.

I haven't gotten around to playing Uncharted 3 because Uncharted 2 left me so bored.
True story.
I really want to like the Uncharted series. The scenery is impressive and I like the characters. There is just so much shooting in the game that it actually exhausts me. Really, where are all these guys coming from? Why is he destroying the male population of a small town? I must have answers!
Pretty much, it's only the graphics and environments that make me muddle through shooting segments in Uncharted games.
Ever since someone commented on Drake putting his hand up to an invisible wall when he moves near something it has been bugging me though. I stopped because of that.
I'd rather watch the movie where he kills a lot less people. Then I could probably get all the story in without all those boring gameplay parts inbetween.
You know, I want the twist in Uncharted 3 to be "Drake's actually kind of a psychopath".

You'd like the first 11 or so chapters of U3, it's mainly exploration/puzzles/character interaction, interspersed with shootouts. After chapter 12 it's just shooting, shooting, and more shooting, sprinkled with walking bits.
And the shooting sucks in U3, so even though there's more or less the same amount of it as in U2 (where the shooting was good), it's not very fun at all.
Uncharted 2 is on my top 2 games this gen. UC3...uh not so much.

My boyfriend does the shooty bits and I do everything else. I originally tried playing through it myself after borrowing it from a friend, but like I said it makes me exhausted. I've played FPSs with less shooting (wasn't there a topic about this and everyone said it's a shooting game, don't complain?)

Wow, they're open this late? Most food trucks here quit it by 3-4.
People do all sorts of crazy things for all sorts of crazy reasons.
Some people have never played Resident Evil 5 Co-Op.
Well I really enjoy the Gears of War series which has a comparable amount of shooting without the beautiful environs (Till 3) and with laughable dialog.
Something about the actual playing of the game just doesn't jive with me for Uncharted.
Think your boyfriend can do the shooty bits for me too?

Anyway, Golden Abyss is pretty fucking awesome so far. I'm actually enjoying it more than U3. There's more platforming in it than U3 as well (again, so far - I think I'm halfway through). Pretty pleased for my first Vita title. Not pleased about the price I paid for an import copy, though (don't ask).
It's just like real life that way.

In terms of gameplay and combat/encounter design, absolutely.
Set pieces, I dunno, man.
That is terrible. If I knew you had it I would have... okay, I wouldn't have played it with you cause I was too busy going through it with my Fiancee... but I would have seriously THOUGHT about it.

The game is 1000 times better with another human, this is scientifically proven.
Controls and shooting sure. Uncharted 2 has some genuinely innovative segments, not to mentioned well designed arenas and I found the combat scenarios in UC1 to be more interesting than Gears 1 or 2.
No argument when it comes to UC3 though. Man I sound really bitter when it comes to that game; I really don't hate it that much.
Yep, said as much right above you guys. The set pieces in Gears are really really good in 3, but before that they're... well... a giant worm.
I enjoy it MUCH more than Uncharted though, through and through. Maybe it's the aforementioned Co-Op.
Pay attention game creators, Co-Op makes me like games.
Argh! Lazy writing! I'll only find this acceptable if they are evil clones created only for the purpose of being mowed down with a crazy guy with a gun.
Now I want to play a game where you're an mad scientist making clones and throwing them in front of random adventurers. Try to make them better and more intelligent to defeat the adventurers so they don't close in on your lab!
