Big wall of text makes for hurty eyes! I will print this out at work and read it curled up in my bed tomorrow night as the cat does her creepy yak-yak-yak thing in the closet. That will set the scene perfectly! Thanks for the ghost story, SA. :) If I'm not scared you'll just have to post another one. O_O

I posted one last night and freaked out Lissar. :o

There was one more than happened around Kiyo Mizu in Kyoto that involved me being almost 100% sure I saw something that looked like a ghost.

So now the thread's objective is to scare you?

After what Nintendoll did to The Most Interesting Man in the World life just seems too cold and unforgiving to be afraid of anything...

Maybe you should compile your adventures into a travel book of memories...? Just a thought. ;)

Imagine that same thread on a forum with lax moderation.

The unvarnished thoughts of the average guy just might be a tad disappointing to you.

;_; Please don't say this. Maybe I've just had the pleasure of hanging out with intelligent, well-mannered and conscientious guys, but every time I see posts like that I die a little inside and think that all the progress I thought we'd made in the last century is just an illusion. It's disheartening.

I'll have to read that story in a minute. I'm about to kill an innocent man in cold blood
in Skyrim

Hey, at least the crazy is confined to a few specific threads, right?

Well, masses of crazy comments may be in these particular threads, but it is sort of disheartening to see people you see around here everyday posting such views. Then you see them in other threads and it's just hard to get over knowing some of the things they've said.

And every thread has the potential to go crazy :<

OMG so my birthday is coming up in a week and a half and I still have no plans... I kind of want to do something low pressure but fun. Suggestions?

"Come with me priest, into this nice dark cave."
"I don't know..."
"There's treasure?"
"They have a saying that an empty pocket is better than a cold grave."
"250 gold and that is my final offer."
"Done!"

You and Skyrim. I am a huge Elder Scrolls fan and have avoided Skyrim for two reasons. I prefer to play the series on PC and I currently don't own one good enough and I lose hundreds(nearly a thousand for Morrowind) of hours on each installment. I really don't feel like being a shut in for a few weeks.

Though I did just sink in 30 hours on saints Row the third. =l

Same here. 23rd for me. I'll probably just end up going out with my family to dinner but it might be fun to do something small with my friends the next weekend.

Dance in a rainstorm occurring under areas of wind divergence in the upper levels of the troposphere?

Nothing is true.
Everything is permitted.

Actually I have a feeling the Dark Brotherhood and the Guild would really get along for the most part.

Hiro, you posted in there! Why dirty yourself with the goings-on such unscrupulous folk?

Because maybe hearing it from a woman will help (probablydefinitely wrong here), and I hate leaving Devo to hold the torch for all women. She always wades into these things by herself, and it seems like people write her off because it's easier than meeting her with logic/she's the only one doing it usually. As if by sheer majority they think they will be right. Pisses me off.

Low pressure but fun... paintball? Get all your friends on a field and let them shoot each other. Always a delight. Or, if that's too much organization, just go to a mini-golf/go-karts place and go crazy. That shit is way more fun when you're an adult and can indulge in the absurdity of it. :)

I wish I could play on PC, but yeah... even before my Bootcamp partition became FUBARed my computer wasn't good enough. I figure eventually I'll have a good enough one and it will be on Steam for $5.

I've been doing pretty good pacing myself actually. I didn't play at all yesterday and I just started playing a bit ago. So I'm not going totally insane. I do have other work to do!

After playing Mario Kart, regular go-karts just don't cut it anymore.

I was thinking of mini-golf at first, but there aren't any good ones around here. And not the season for go-karts since it's winter.

Oh, I meant the 23rd. I'm actually turning 22. We can wish each other happy birthday at midnight between the days.

Haha, and I thought for a moment we would have the same birthdays. Apparently it's quite common for two people in a room to share a birthday!

I'm turning 28. FML.

I did that for my sister's birthday a few months back. Had an awesome time but my god the bruises were bright and all the walking while crouching killed my quads, since I hadn't been to the gym in some time. What's some fun stuff to do during winter time?

I've actually met several people with my same birthday. I had a math class once where 2 other people shared it so I baked a cake and brought it to class for all of us to share.

Speaking of spying on other threads from up in here, I actually feel legitimately bad for posting in the Girl-GAF thread when I do.

It's usually when I see a question that I'd like to answer. But then the womenfolk in there complain about all the guys and I'm like "Fuck, I forgot" and feel bad again. :(

I don't think there is a problem with it as long as you're respectful and don't mind joining in on girl-centered conversation.

We have the technology to fix that. If you want.

I don't honestly have a problem with it but I don't care for guys who post just to ask questions while the lady-gaf advises man-gaf thread still exists. The dude who offered unsolicited sexual advice for us to follow can also fuck right off.
