Ell oh ellNo but he's the greatest hip hop artist of all time. No one in the genre can even touch his discog apart from maybe Outkast.
I don't think he's the "greatest" but he was the total package (up until 808 came out and his work went downhill in quality)
Ell oh ell
I dunno, I'm not too confident in my music tastes but MF DOOM and Ghostface Killah are probably better rappers from what I've heard
Ell oh ell
dont really care about the bars that flow and beat is 👌we really finna defend those bars huh
yeezy fans are truly the morrissey fans of hip hop
Good point. List some artist with more impressive discogs mate.
Haha. His past 2 albums have been terrible hip hop albums. I love 808s but the hip hop community is so-so on it. Going song for song id put up 2pac/ the roots/wu-tang/Ghost face/jay z/ nas discography ahead of his.No but he's the greatest hip hop artist of all time. Hov, Nas, UGK, Pac, Tribe, Public Enemy.
That's just off the top of my head
He associates with fascists.
Hey if it's any consolation Kanye and Eminem are tied..

I'll say this, almost every great rapper flumed out over a few years. Kayne, while it's not always a hit. He has kept a quality to him that likes of Jay or Em could never hope to have again

MF Doom is the best rapper/producer, sorry
Yeezus is a terrible hip hop album.
I'm more surprised by the people who think he's the best artist of all time. Like really?
2pac was one of the most exiting American artists too, but he wasn't an amazing rapper. Technically speaking, Biggie was 10 times better. There was a time when he was probably one of the most exiting American artists period. As a rapper, he ain't 2pac or Biggie, but he was always more than just a rapper so it evens out.
and im out 👋✌️Yeezus is a terrible hip hop album. I've heard it all.
Kanye didn't made Bout it Bout it aka the real national anthem.

it gets better with ageHonestly. It's one of the few genuinely brilliant hip hop records of the past 5 years.

Only Kanye thinks that lol. Maybe some fans do too. But to be fair, he is sort of a polymath in artistic expression. Hot fashion line, directing some of the most lavish music videos, his multi screen cinematic experiment, he produces, he raps, etc. Paul McCartney thinks highly of him. As do many of the most influential writers, musicians, artists, filmmakers, etc. Werner Herzog praised his video for Famous. I mean, not sure how blown away he was because his compliments pretty much culminated with him just saying he would invite him to study at his film school, but he was clearly impressed nonetheless.

Jay's discography would be much worse without American Gangster.you're much more prepared for our trap-dominated present than i fam
let's break this down to molecules
Hov - should've stayed retired at black ablum, would've been a GOAT discog
american gangster stands out as "NOT AS BAD AS THE OTHERS" as a result
Nas - you can mostly disregard everything after gods son/lost tapes '02 era right up to Life is Good and most of us wouldn't notice...and i love that dude
Pac - top 10 but nobody revisits more than half of 2pacaplyse & Strictly 4, arguably one of the finest Greatest Hits artists of all time due to having too many weed carriers on his later shit
Tribe - okay yeah, beats & rhymes was the only misstep for me and that still had tracks
PE - one of the absolute greats but this is still a strange argument to make, i really feel like i should finally hit up man plans, god laughs or whatever before continuing though
odd to leave off roots & ghostface but still, you're naming top 10 MC's without the most consistent discographies (understandable due to length of their careers/changing times etc) but still. it's like, i love the shit out of LL, Busta & the like but you're not gonna hear their names in a consistency discussion, you know?
you really don't wanna go down the road of people rappers associate with though
Em is like one of the only top 10 (for most folks, anyway) MC's with a harder 2nd half dropoff than jigga though
