So how did this 13 year old kid know what to say?
But okay, assuming I'm wrong and that porn is more harmful than I think it is, where are all the people demanding we ban or severely restrict, or censor in some way porn? Even among the highly religious it's usually just "Hey guys, we need to stop watching porn, it's not going to help you learn how to love your future wife, instead focus on some useful skills." I regularly listen to Catholic content that is very anti-porn, why are the people that as far as I am aware on the frontline of this not making these claims?
The attitudes I'm seeing in this topic about the dangers of pornography are more extreme than anything I've ever heard inside of a church. I just don't get it, if even a decent portion of the population has the views I'm seeing expressed, we should have a legit anti-porn movement in this country that actually has some political clout, if that exists I'm not aware of it.
The religious people were right.
More people are getting to understand the truth so that's why this is being talked outside of churches.
But then again more people are getting into porn every day than there are people who are understanding the reality of it. The amount of porn watching women continually grows too.
And there there are people like me who understand the problem but don't do much to stop it. I love it too much to hate it enough.
It's a huge business. It wouldn't be good for the big western countries to stop it completely, and there's not much will to stop it either even if they could, as porn is universally loved by most people who encounter it. The politicians watch it. The artists and entertainers watch it. Priests watch it. Teachers watch it. Fathers watch it. Mothers watch it. Kids watch it. And very often when people talk about it, they will treat it in a joking manner.
I understand the problems of porn but most of the time I don't care. I will tell the truth about it though whenever a discussion of it arises - truth both in the lover's and the hater's angle.
Being born in the early 80's there weren't too many options to see bare breasts or hardcore porn, but even then I got absolutely hooked on seeing bare breasts and soft sexual situations from when I was just 7, and by 11 I had seen hardcore material for the first time and it never stopped for me. I'm sure there are countless of people in the world who are like me when I was a kid and I can only be thankful I haven't been a kid in modern world. I would've absolutely watched a lot of hard smut much earlier if I would've had the means to do it that kids have these days. And like I've said before, I could imagine I would've been an easy target for a pedo. Modern technology alongside with continuously more explicit and accepted pornography is honestly quite terrifying combination. And again, I love it too much to hate it enough.
