Yea I really liked it but wish it had more variety and depth when it comes to loot and builds. It's very light on in that regard. Need a sequel where they go balls deep.Alienation (HouseMarque) is an amazing game.

I think that I want to gift myself Darksiders: Genesis for Christmas...
Also, The hong kong massacre might be something for you, but it's more top-down in a 3D environment:
Diablo 4. This season they are giving you a lvl 50 boosted character with a choice of 3 builds + legendary gear, gold, crafting mats - everything you need to start playing without having to grind. Pretty much any build will work in world tier 2 and 3.So Path of Exile 2 is kicking my ass and giving me the tougher isometric ARPG experience. I'm with it. But I have traditionally avoided most isometric games due to my dislike of the camera angle. I want to get out of my comfort zone and dig into isometric a little, since I know there are gonna be some cool games to be played. I'd like to try something more straightforward and linear or level based. Open levels are cool too, but I want it to be dynamic action without stat grinding and builds.
My caveats:
It must be playable on PlayStation 5.
It cannot be a roguelike/roguelite.
It should feature arcadey combat action. If there is stat based loot and more traditional RPG elements like that, I'd like some easy difficulty levels to mitigate that stuff.
Does Housemarque's stuff count as isometric? I know they do action games from a higher camera perspective...
I know that modern iso games are very roguelike heavy, so I understand that options may be limited. Thank you for any recommendations!

Don't get it on PS5 if you care about framerate. It never got a 60 fps update, so it's still locked to 30.
+1Just came in here to drop, and reinforce:
THE ASCENT
It's the second best Cyberpunk game out there, and the best twinstick shooter I've ever played.
I detest isometric view and this was the title that changed my mind, before even playing BG3.
Legend says there is actually one meaningful upgrade in there. No one has found it yet.Prob still miles easier than something like PoE2, just look at this skill tree:

This game is fantastic too

I havent tried it myself but pretty much yah. Lvl 40 - 50 is around where you go from world tier 3 to WT4. I'm guessing they will give you ilvl 750 gear because around lvl 50 is when ancestral legendaries (ilvl 800) start to drop more frequently. This is indeed interesting. I don't play Diablo often, so basically it's like getting to the initial endgame without playing and then being ready to start the next level of content?
Nex Machina
Absolutely perfect Arcade fest. It's a twin stick shooter made before Returnal by Housemarque. The controls, level design, high score chase, it's all like butter. I've put 30 hours into it so far.
They definitely are or at least were. I remember I got Temple of Osiris free with PS+ and played coop with my brother on PS4.Odd. I thought these were available on console? I'm searching PSN but I don't see them. Lame.
How is Victor Vran, and also how is The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing Trilogy??
I treated myself to Darksiders Genesis as a Christmas gift to myself hehe.

Dead Nation has broken bc in PS5 but maybe it's fixed?
Helldivers 1 maybe...
I came to recommend this as well.
I’ll co-sign on this. I love this game and find it to be one of the PS3 era games that was often overlooked. Great coop experience alsoDead nation, made by Housemarque, is pretty old though
Great to know! It was broken when the PS5 releasedI play Dead Nation on my PS5 with my nephew and it works totally fine. Maybe uninstall and reinstall yours again?
(great couch co-op game BTW)
Would Tunic count? Isometric, not a randomly generated roguelite type deal. Arcadey action I would say.
