So... Later this year I want to get a smart watch but I'm so confused by what's out there and what's essential (other than telling time and measuring my sleep cycle).

There's Samsung and OnePlus and TicWatch and Pebble (I hear they're making a comeback) and whatnot.... What say you?

Im still rocking a 1st gen Galaxy watch. It's a tank (with the weight to match), and still has 3+ days of battery life. Does everything I need it to do - basically tell time and allow access to texts and see who is calling without needing to get my phone out.

Careful wearing these things while on drugs. It starts screaming at you about your heart rate and shit. Very unpleasant experience.

I had a pebble watch. That thing was low-tech but pretty cool. I wish Casio made a good smart watch.

Either get a sports watch (Garmin) or a basic mechanical watch that will give you way more pleasure and won’t be yet another screen you are looking at.

You don’t need another screen.
