The next part - where the car barely misses his leg as it continues to swing around - is even better. :lol

Do people really think Helen Mirran is hot? I mean really?

for her age sure, we're not going to be sleeping with 20/30 year olds when we're in our 50's and 60's... at least not most of us.

Most of GAF isn't doing that now ever mind when they are 50/60.

Maybe he does.. sent out a warrant for his arrest!

Did anyone see this yet? It's out in theaters right? Seems like a movie GAF would love..impressions?

I hope you don't download movies...

I see literally every single film I can in theaters. Just went to 3 in the past 24 hours. Hoping to catch RED tomorrow.

I just got a job in NYC so will be able to catch a lot more, very excited.

He just always knows the instant something leaks... He's always popping into threads announcing it, whether it's movies or music or whatever.

I guess when you're in the film journalist business word travels fast about those things.

I keep up with the film piracy world because I find the effects quite interesting. For example, when academy screeners leak and the added buzz that brings is just around the corner. Also the way piracy helps small indie films is very interesting to look at.

Yes, for albums I buy the ones I love. That is much more than what most of GAF/Internet can say.

Also seems like RED will take #2 this wknd, based on early estimates.

What is accomplished by announcing that a movie has leaked without offering commentary on its effects? You just pop into threads and say something has leaked and depart. Maybe you should think about the effect of that.

What a lovely rationalization.

How would I know the effects of it if happened seconds ago? I was talking more about long term.

If you would like a detail essay in a few months, let me know. :lol

Okay, so you have nothing to say about it. In that case, what does announcing the leak do besides aid and abet pirates? You're part of the problem, constantly telling people when things leak. It has no value beyond encouraging people to pirate.

Didn't know this movie was getting gaf hype. I have seen the trailer for a few weeks during NFL games and I thought it looked awful. Like a spy version of wild hogs, lol we are old, that type of thing. Is it any good?

Went in expecting nothing, was pleasantly surprised. I'd put this pretty high on the list of action/comedies I've seen this year. Liked the characters, Malkovich especially, and the cameos were a nice touch. (
Borgnine!
)

If you thought it looked bad go ahead and try it anyway, at least on a cheap movie night. Good fun.

He already explained it though...

"For example, when academy screeners leak and the added buzz that brings is just around the corner. Also the way piracy helps small indie films is very interesting to look at."

Also, his comment is no more encouraging than ripping movies/songs (which I have seen people support) or custom firmware (which is more used for pirating than homebrew) which mods support heavily on the gaming side

Anyway, you are talking to Plainview, the guy who sees movies for a living.... :lol

It was entertaining, very much so
specially Malkovich, ML Parker was pretty funny as well
:lol

It was much more entertaining/action packed than The Expendables that's for sure, that movie was so fucking boring.

I couldn't find the actual movie thread (if there is one), but this movie was great. Maybe because I went in with low expectations.

I really liked the characters. Malkovich played a great crazy/paranoid goof, while Mirren was funny with her nonchalance during the action scenes. Parker was hilarious when she first met Bruce Willis in person.

I only went to see the movie because my friend's brother is one of the original comic book artists.

And yes, it was better than The Expendables.

yeah that's pretty lame

Forgot this came out this weekend, definitely want to see it. Reviews seemed pretty decent.

I didn't like this. It was a watered down parody at times, and too serious at others. They do some cool camera moves and action sequences that feel unique a couple times, but fell back to stale procedural bullshit. If the emtire movie had the 'feel' of Bruce Willis stepping out of the police car (they nailed it) then it would have been epic.

As it was...6/10? See it on dvd? Ugh..
