Literally nothing about the presentation so demanding that 30fps should even be a possibility.
FH5's progression was broken for months and months after launch and I still believe there are issues that plague the progression (leveling up), rewards, and leaderboards till this day. You and I have been through this before, I reckon.
Paychonaughts 2 AA was pretty much almost done before MS even bought them. C'mon son.
FH5 is a glorified expansion pack for FH4.
Psychonauts 2 is a multiplatorm release and was designed as such for years before MS bought out the company.
Try again.
You would hope that the backing of a 2 trillion dollar company would reduce the need for them to rush games out the door, but alas.
Fair enough. But redfall would get demolished by Diablo, SF6, FF16, Zelda. The delay would just hurt the games relevancy.Phil now owns Bethesda last I checked.
The buck stops with him. First party games should not be rushed out the door.
I bet this thread has more pages than any other Redfall thread before it.
LMAO!
FH5's tech and performance was pristine at launch.
THe game was mostly finished and would have launched regardless, by Double Fine's own admission. Try again, warrior.Psychonauts 2 is a first party game that wouldn't be complete without first party backing, by Double Fine's own admission.
Post launch. Sure. How long will that be? A few weeks? A few months? How many times were we promised shit like that for Halo Infinite?RF will also get a 60 FPS mode, they're not saying it's gonna be 30 FPS only like Gotham Knights.
Tried and executed![]()
With all these publishers they are buying and playing takeaway, and the past several years taken into account, imagine if they didn't rush anything out either? You would hope that the backing of a 2 trillion dollar company would reduce the need for them to rush games out the door, but alas.
Move the goalposts. The progression system, rewards, leaderboards, and resetting of such progress was broken for months and months and there are still issues till this day.FH5's tech and performance was pristine at launch.
That doesn't change that it was a glorified expansion of a game.

So again, a game that had/has serious issues for a core part of their marketing of racing online and earning stuff.
Let's be honest, most of the newcomers to Redfall discussion in this topic aren't interested in anything about the game at all.![]()
This was supposed to be a Summer '22 title originally, pretty sure the backing of a 2 trillion dollar company let them have a full extra year to develop. Imagine the state it was in in their original release window
This is what's great about consoles. You just pop the game in and start playing! No worrying about settings or performance.
I just want to relax on my comfy couch and let the developers decide.
This might be true, I, for one, was curious to try it on game pass, TBH I wasn't sold before, nothing about this game got me hyped for it, but hey, it's a first party title that seems to have a lot of anticipation on it. So I figure, it maybe surprises me, like Hi-Fi Rush before it. Learning that it will be a 30fps game at launch is just sad, it won't affect me directly since my Xbox machine is my PC, but it sucks that a game like that failed on such fundamental point. I'm done with 30fps games man, if I own a XSX I would be pissed, as a PC gamer that want more competition, it sucks, I really hope Microsoft starts to deliver on their promises and from their acquisitions.Let's be honest, most of the newcomers to Redfall discussion in this topic aren't interested in anything about the game at all.![]()
Uh, no.Check the Activision discussion. Redfall and Starfield were never xbox games, apparently.
Such a short term memory you have. Can you share some examples of how it's broken? I played it pretty extensively at launch and did not have any particular issues with it.
Is it something very specific that only 10 people on youtube found an issue with or a legit thing ?
With that said, delays to me personally, are better than launching worse state products. More polish time, the better.
no shit. game looks like ass. whats there to be interested in exactly? it will be available to me for free and i still dont want to play it. its easy to tell a qaulity game when you see it and this isnt it. quite the opposite actually.
It's not my problem or job to worry about how it would have ended up if it had released in their originally scheduled window.
Such a short term memory you have.
I will link you to the post on, where I said you and I have had this discussion before.

Redfall Rumored to Be Targeting Late March 2023 Release
https://wccftech.com/redfall-rumored-to-be-targeting-late-march-2023-release/ Arkane Austin's Redfall game may be targeting a late March 2023 release window, according to sources cited by journalist Okami Games. The same anonymous sources also reported that pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition...www.neogaf.com

Yes, I said the same thing, very standard bugs, loading issues etc that no single AA or AAA game doesn't have every now and then.
Even the 'accolades' issue article in your post is from 2021, just a few days after the games launch. It's 2 year old news now.
I'll tip my fedora and continue to use FH5 as an example of a game that was released in an exceptional state.
Good thing Arkane knows where their priorities are:
Nor is it mine, just addressing the point in your post about a trillion dollar company needing to rush something, they didn't.
Why is it still releasing in its current state then?
Everyone loved playing Destiny in 2014. 30fps on consoles. Console exclusive game. "Best gunplay ever made". Chill.
I didn't enjoy it.Everyone loved playing Destiny in 2014. 30fps on consoles. Console exclusive game. "Best gunplay ever made". Chill.
Those has to be highly isolated bugs. How much did you play? I've been playing FH5 since launch including all expansions, no issues what so ever, one if not the most polished games I've played this generation. Complain about MS all you want but don't throw Playground under that bus. The only thing that piss me off is that MS don't seem to care about Playground. Hot Wheels could've been a stand alone release since it was so different from the main game and had new gameplay and type of cars a map editor and all, and they just threw Rally Adventure out there like it was nothing, no PR push, I even had to search for it on the store because there was no new content tag or anything for it.Move the goalposts. lol, that's the only thing that needs to be said to this, again, lol.

It literally wouldn't be the same game, with cut content and no bosses.
Why don't you try for a change, Jim Hellwig.
Halo: Infinite didn't launch with just 30 FPS only. Terrible example to use, but then again it's been a terrible string of posts.
Can you share some examples of how it's broken? I played it pretty extensively at launch and did not have any particular issues with it.

You seem to be under the impression that gamers have standards.A truly brave man. Trashing "rich people" and being pro-diversity in 2023, this man has fucking BALLS.
Love you Arkane but...everyone will just wait to play your game until 60fps hits. Beyond me how they think this'll launch as anything but a wet rag hitting the floor at this point.
Call me optimistic... well, you wouldn't. I am not. But supposedly (this is from following a few indie devs, not a game dev myself, just a web dev) things like Nanite can really make a difference when used properly.I feel we will get a LOT of 30fps games once UE5 games start coming out in droves.
"PC MASTER RACE" was very alive back then, people with top notch PCs complained just the same, while others were having fun.
"PC MASTER RACE" was very alive back then, people with top notch PCs complained just the same, while others were having fun.
Why even bother? Just wait. If you play it at launch it'll 100% make your first impression worse and if you keep playing your first playthrough will be worse as well. Then when the 60fps patch is there you might be over the game already.I'm kinda getting used to 60fps, this could be a tough sell. Guess we will see.......
Didn't even know he's gone.I wish @Hendrick's was still here to have a chat about this.
Probably don't have a choice. They have to get it out the door at this point. Why is it still releasing in its current state then?
MS already delayed it by a year. Remember this was announced as a 2022 title like Forza and Starfield. MS tried to do the right thing but it sucks to see them still rushing it out the door without a 60 fps mode. Why is it still releasing in its current state then?
Good thing Arkane knows where their priorities are:
Let me just get this straight. So If she wouldn't have been "that hot", having her been Indian would have been a negative?Chloe from Uncharted 2 was half indian no one gives a fuck when shes that hot.
