Reggie Asks Us: What developer would you like to see have a Nintendo franchise?

Wayforward with almost any Metroidvania. Zelda II remake/style game, new Super Paper Mario, heck, new 2d Metroid if Nintendo's internal teams won't do it.

The Matsuno Fire Emblem is an interesting idea, though his own strat-RPGs are way different.

Bioware should do a 2nd eternal darkness.

Suda51 in collaboration with Monolith to do Baten Kaitos 3 = Mind blown and exploded in a joyful burst of corn pops and blood, splashing everyone on their face while they laugh and dance in extasis.

THIS. OMG, THIS.

And KojiPro = Eternal Darkness could work too.

They already did 2 amazing games (3? I haven't played demon's souls) where yo uare a hero fighting back form the land of the dead complete with tons of awesome mythology. This would be way too fucking awesome.

Treasure on Star Fox, goddammit! TREASURE ON STAR FOX. Do you hear me? As soon as Sin & Punishment 2 is done, hand them the contract and get to work.

Give Zelda to Michel Ancel.

Why would you want to ruin Zelda like that?

No, I didn't find BG&E to be an enjoyable experience, and it was definitely not Zelda-like, in my opinion.

StarFox is the only series I want someone else to do (since Nintendo hasn't done it since StarFox 64), but I can't decide if Treasure or Factor 5/White Harvest would be best for it. I'd probably go with White Harvest, though.

This is all back to front.

I don't want Nintendo franchises going external developers. I want external IP's going to Nintendo developers.

I want a Sonic game from Nintendo EAD group 4 or group Tokyo, overseen by Tezuka or Miyamoto. LONG OVERDUE. Sega - make it happen!
Sonic can be saved in the right hands.

:lol That would be so awesome. Or how about a Suda 51 Tingle game?

This thread is dirty. Dirty and very very sticky.

Starfox by Treasure?
Sonic by Nintendo?
Animal Crossing by Suda & Grassh-- Oh my now I'm all sticky I gotta go clean up excuse me.

As long as we're asking for things that'll probably never happen, I want Matsuno + Intelligent Systems working on a Super Smash Bros. RPG. Or if Matsuno is busy doing something else, I'm still 100% fine with IS taking the Smash Bros. idea into another genre, specifically the SRPG genre.

Yes, or that. I might actually play Animal Crossing again.

the only way i'd want Sega to go back to F-Zero is to have them work 50/50 between them and the team that made FZX to have a better game overall (like what is doing Nintendo with Metroid M and team ninja). GX was pretty and challenging but it was a glitchy mess. Nintendo's guidance should help them to iron out the flaws and push the extras (track editor yo!)

DO IT NOW NINTENDO DO ITTTT

Cannot be stated enough times in this thread. No dinosaurs, no Krystal, just classic arcade action with branching paths and no on-foot combat. Although if it was like Sin & Punishment...

Fuck. Make this happen, Nintendo.

Goddamn, does ANYONE want Star Fox to evolve and expand? give it to factor 5 for Christ's sake. they know how to make a space fighter both tight and fun to play. it would be best if they kept on foot out, but they could easily make a tight, mission based space fighter game very excellently. don't believe me? play any of the Rogue Squadron games, or even Battle for Naboo. all very fun, exciting, and rewarding games. and it would look top notch too.

If they could make it feel as fast as Starfox 64, I'd be interested. The Rogue Squadron games always felt so slow to me.

Any and every Nintendo franchise turned into a SRPG by Brownie Brown.

Your name is surprisingly descpriptive of how those would turn out.

Dream List
Naughty Dog on Kid Icarus.
Retro Studios on Mario Kart.
Sucker Punch on Donkey Kong Country 4 (featuring DK, Dixie, and Diddy ONLY).

Luigi's Mansion 2 to Nintendo EAD.
FUCK

Kirby to Insomniac. Partly because I like the Rachet games, and partly because Kirby is the only franchise no one has mentioned. :P

And Pokemon to Square.

Square - Final Fire Emblem Fantasy
Enix - Pokemon Warrior
Capcom - Donkey Kong Nation
Team Ico - Zelda: The Lonely Warrior
Kojima - Solid Kid Icarus
Atlus - Fucking Earthbound, Dammit
EA BIG - F Zero with a DJ

Star Fox games are going to continue to suck until they a.) realize that the game needs to be extremely simple and b.) get rid of all the "innovations," characters, and artwork introduced post-Star Fox 64. That's about the only way I'd even be remotely interested in another game in the series.

Mostly correct. It really just needs to be a 3D Galaga with cut-scenes and awesome music. Make it super-arcadey and have a giant 4-person unit where people can fly side-by-side and in 3D. Talk about using the pointer/motion control to its fullest. Hell, it's probably in development as we speak.

Give Star Fox to Treasure, for the love of AAAAHHHHHLKHjkhdjhsadlkhfaelmsqQ!!!

Let Atlus R&D1 handle Pokemon on the Wii.

Wayforward with Metroid.
