Now that Sony's planning to go to third party, what games or franchises would you like to see ported to Nintendo Switch 2? (Pick 3)

The word I used is 'planning' which is exactly what they're doing. It's a legit hypothetical question
Theyve been saying such sentiments easy since early 2024, even after they started bringing games to pc. They are doing exactly what they said so far and what that job listing implies, which is nothing new. They have game on switch, on xbox, on pc, on epic store etc. This doesnt mean yeah, lets put Wolverine day 1 on switch, xbox and pc as some of yall suggest here.
Theyve done selective rollout for years now

Proof that is no.
Nope, grok is correct about Astrobot

But its clearly wrong about Bloodborne, so I feel compelled to correct it :messenger_angry:

Wait what, Sony is going third party?
Sony has been 3rd party publisher in MSX, PC, Mac, NES, GB, GBA, SNES, GG, MD, Mega CD, PC-Engine, Nintendo 64, Saturn, Switch, Java phones, iOS or Android.

But also the first party publisher of the PlayStation home and portable consoles and being the market leader obviously has no plans or abandoning PlayStation and to stop being first party.

Other than to continue releasing MLB in Switch and licensing Freedom Wars, Patapon and Everybody's Golf (and who knows, if Nintendo is lucky maybe one or two more) to Bandai Namco, Sony apparently doesn't any have plans to release anything else in Switch or Switch 2. The OP is just being desilusional and trolling.

it's a legit discussion

Nah, there's nothing in that job offer saying that Sony is going to stop being first party or that they'll increase the titles they release in Switch. There's nothing in that job offer mentioning they'll change their strategy in Switch.

They are not going third party at all. This is for live service games, since they need a big user base to be successful.

Sony has been third party for years.

Personally, i would really like to see:

Uncharted trilogy
Horizon
Gran Turismo **I think this is coming, actually**
Spiderman
Rachet
Astro bot—but it seems unlikely

Finally, remaster old games and release them everywhere.

Where is Twisted Metal Black? Sony wants to promote the tv show!

Cool Boarders HD collection
MotorStorm
Days Gone
Killzone Mercenary
Shadow of the Collosus
Tearaway
Gravity Rush

Sony has been third party for years.
When they start doing day and date and stop buying timed exclusives I'll call them 3rd party for now they are just annoying.

until its a singleplayer exclusive going to xbox console i just dont see this conversation going anywhere besides just troll bait
It would only qualify as troll bait if Sony fans consider the prospect of Sony games going to Switch as trolling. If they do, they are still chidren in the playground with much bigger problems than a dude making a thread.

If this ever happens, Horizon will definitely be ported. Niche stuff like Astro and Tearaway make zero sense, just like the MS published HB2 and HiFi Rush PS ports. The only commercially successful PS ports were the ones that succeeded on the original platform (SoT, FH5). Horizon is Sony's most successful IP in recent times (38 million total sales).

Astro is definitely not niche, it's probably the one most likely ported to Switch 2.

Sony wants that Mario money, and probably a movie is already in the discussion as we speak.
