Relaxing video games

I'm finding Lego Star Wars to be very relaxing. Yeah, it's too easy and short, but damned if there's no fun to be had in running around parody scenes of the prequel movies without the threat of dying, and being able to solve some puzzles to boot

When you’re not trying to progress the story, I thought sailing in Wind Waker was really calming and relaxing, almost too relaxing. Also, any Tony Hawk past 3 is good in free mode, just go about the level doing your own thing, actually, to be fair, any free mode in a game has 'relax' written all over it.

And I thought Fire Emblem for the GBA was relaxing, but that’s just me.

Klonoa 2 is probably my favorite "relaxing videogame" its really easy and the music is fun and its all bright. It may have some fast platforming but for the most part you can control the pacing.

DOA xtreme beachball. just stupid mindless fun and i killed 4 hours once playing blackjack in it. and for after work stress FPS

I can't believe none of you guys mentioned Pikmin 1 and 2. The music in these games are very relaxing and the way the Pikimin humm in pikmin 2 is very adorable.

The bus ride on Penn and Teller's Smoke and Mirrors (SEGA CD).

Isn't that the notorious real time bus passenger sim? Where you just watch the road from your window?

Sunday driving in GTA:SA relaxes me. I like to drive, recognize landmarks, and drive off cliffs.

Im someone who gets frustrated with nearly any game I play. Whoever said POP: SOT was relaxing must have nerves of steel, some parts were so annoying, the part in the elevator comes to mind as a very frustrating moment. The closest game that comes close to relaxing me is ICO and Mario Golf.

Outrun 2 - driving with limited traffic and not worrying about speed limits is definitely relaxing for me. Gotta have "Shiny World" as my song though.

Archer Mclean's Mercury - The music and the easy-on-the-eyes color scheme. I haven't played much and it looks like it'll get a lot harder, but right now it's pretty easy.

there was this game I think for original B/W GB... called "The Game Of Harmony". I've never played it but it was supposed to be a relaxing puzzle-type game

The Sims (all of them), and the Tony Hawk games are games you can just relax while you enjoy them. You can't say that about too many games nowadays.

Someone mentioned Pilot Wings 64, that gets my aproval for sure. I used to just get the Birdman special mode and fly around the level "little states" for hours at a time, exploring and looking at stuff. Awesome.

Morrowind is another game where i can just walk around looking at stuff and exploring for hours. Very relaxing (just get the mod that makes cliff racers non-hostile) :D .

That's the stuff right there. Lots of PDS would be really relaxing to wander around if it weren't for the random battles. The Town of Zoah at night is surreally peaceful with its weird warm blues and reds.

Parts of Shenmue 2, wandering around, are very relaxing too.
