If Ryan ever talked with Garnett publicly, it would have been in the 1UP x Giant Bomb podcast.
w-w-w-wuh? How did I forget about this.
shame they couldn't really do more stuff together with garnett working far away. Pretty sure garnett would have loved the bar at whiskey media.
If you really want closure just connect the dots.
He had Sleep Apnea.
He likely died in his sleep based on the tweet from his wife and his dad saying he died peacefully at home.
There was also a tweet from his wife which mentioned she slept in their bed for the first time since it happened.
I don't think its too hard to figure out what happened.
edit: oh, and this tweet by Ryan's dad pretty much confirms what I and many others already deduced:

Yanno...I have sleep apnea. Sleep study results said I stop breathing 53 times an hour. Tried using a couple different machines for nearly two months and finally said "Fuck it." and stopped the trial as it's uncomfortable, awkward and in some ways, embarrassing to be wearing a plastic tube and a "reverse vacuum" on my face when I'm lying in bed next to my wife.
I bought a new machine yesterday because of what happened to Ryan and what's happening to his friends and family right now.
Better for me to feel embarrassed and awkward than to feel dead.
I realized he will never get to play Saints Row IV.![]()
I feel horrible saying this but atleast he didn't have kids. Parental deaths are terrible especially at a young age.Yep. That'll pretty much do it. What insane timing for something that could have happened at any time to happen. Not that there's a convenient time to die, but I still can't even fathom how his wife feels. Five fucking days...

Sorry if that comes across as callous it isn't my intention :/
Ryan's passing could build awareness and saves lives.

I assume something will be mentioned in weekend confirmed. Did Garnett and Ryan have any relationship outside of being industry colleagues? I don't recall them ever doing anything together.
Emotions running high looking forward to @WeekendConfirmd with @AnnoyedGamer this week as we remember @taswell #pouroneout

I'm just gonna leave that here so that people finally stop asking those questions. Now we can go back to talking about Ryan instead of his COD

Feeling dead is literally the worst.

I've been using CPAP machines for over a decade. They used to be awful 10 years ago - basically a vacumn cleaner type device strapped to your face, with continuous air pressure.
As you have probably found out by now, the new machines are small, quiet and have variable air pressure that is based on your natural breathing. My current machine is the size of a lunch box and is really quiet.
All of my previous partners got used to it after a night or two, and ended up liking the white noise at night. It helped them to fall asleep.
Hope you get used to it soon. It's a really easy ailment to treat with the new tech out there.
Also the fact that they were actually maried saves a bunch of legal trouble for the succession (well in Quebec anyway, I imagine it's similar in the states?)
Also Garnett is a bit egocentric. I do love his podcast though

By Sanj. It's perfectly Ryan.
having a party this weekend
many burger patties formed by plates will be eaten
and we will be listening to nothing but the realest summerjams all day
Yikes. My cousin suffers from sleep apnea. He uses a machine now but, for the longest time, he just let it go. I had no idea it could be fatal (I'm sure my cousin didn't either). I hope folks who suffer from it will read all this and will take it seriously and get help....this tweet by Ryan's dad pretty much confirms what I and many others already deduced:

I wrote a little blog post about how gamers deal with death.
I think its cool how we immortalized those no longer with us as NPC's in games. No other community really does that except us.
yes, I did get somewhat teary eyed when writing it.
I wish there would be a nod to ryan in Saints Row 4.
