Clay Fighter NX confirmed.
About time. They've been talking about a new once since the Wii.

Says 6 september surprise nx direct. Before neo?
They would be very dumb to reveal that before the 3DS release. But it is Nintendo...!I don't believe for a second it's going to happen.
...But imagine the shock if the brand new Sun & Moon news is the announcement of the NX version at the NX event
Maybe the announcement of the announcement on Tuesday.
That'll only happen if the NX event is in January or later. They're not going to BOTW SunMoon 3DS.I don't believe for a second it's going to happen.

They only did it for the reveal. Since then, news is revealed through a trailer on the Pokemon YouTube channel.Didn't they do a pokemon direct last year to reveal the game - it was only a 5 minute one, but i'm sure it happened.
Also they have had various game directs in the past to elaborate on the game, like Xenoblade for example.
But Nintendo seem busy lately, which is encouraging.
I figured the dock charging was a given. I didn't know the second part would cost $0 though. The dock charging the console and allowing it to be clocked at a higher rate than when portable costs exactly 0$ for them to implement.
Yeah there's no way they will reveal another mainline Pokémon game before Sun/Moon releases, even if it's a port to NX. At the earliest I'd say spring next year or so...
I dont see why they would be hesitant to cross port everything to NX
Wouldnt that be the draw? The system that can essentially run everything
The point is that they'd be hesitant to announce it now & scare people off from the 3DS version. And even then, by the time the NX drops, they'd might as well do a cross-gen port of Sun/Moon's sequel game at that point rather than port Sun/Moon.I dont see why they would be hesitant to cross port everything to NX
Wouldnt that be the draw? The system that can essentially run everything
Because the NX is essentially a single screen device when mobile, porting requires some design changes that go beyond adjusting to system power.
Yes but the won't announce anything before SunMoon has it's holiday season to sell a ton.I dont see why they would be hesitant to cross port everything to NX

You guys saw teh concepts that had you put the screen in Vertical orientation right?
You could totally simulate dual screen on a widescreen device
The only time they've ditched an old system for a new one mid-gen was Pokémon Crystal. While it's entirely possible that the 3rd version could be NX-only, Emily's comments about the 3DS being supported until 2018 seem to point towards a cross-gen release for Sun/Moon's possible sequel game.Yes but the won't announce anything before SunMoon has it's holiday season to sell a ton.
I expect the NX release will probably be a 3rd version anyway (Star). It's been a long time since Game Freak did the traditional 3rd version but it actually makes some sense for a platform shift.

Considering the resolution of the 3DS screens being different, wouldn't the actual screen need to be the size of the 2DS's for that to work (scale) properly?
I'td be fine for the DS VC stuff though.

also isn't the 2DS a single screen under that plastic shell anyway?
Android gaming devices are less directly competition. Besides which the Shield market is miniscule. What I don't like about Nvidia being behind the chip, is the fact that they would pretty much still be an NX competitor with Nvidia Shield 2. I just don't get why Nintendo would not balk at that.
This sure looks like a highly credible news source:

I could also see Star or SunMoon 2 or whatever being NX/3DS multiplat later next year. With GSC there was still some userbase continuity though, it sounds like NX is a clean break (a first for Nintendo handhelds) so there might be more incentive for GF to migrate their audience asap. The only time they've ditched an old system for a new one mid-gen was Pokémon Crystal. Unless it's for the reveal event date. "Tune in later today for a special announcement". But yeah, sounds suspect at bestYeaaaaah, Nintendo is not releasing a Direct like this without a heads up.
(I mean, they did before, but not for a SYSTEM REVEAL)
Don't think there were any rumors, just speculation/"it would make sense". It can still be this year but after TGS as well. 3 months in the year leftBut werent the other rumors that it would be Pre TGS
ANd Nintendo did say they were announcing it THIS year
hmmmmmmm
I mean
The resolutions dont match up on the 3DS when emulating DS either soooo
I dont see anything stopping them

Nintendo going to go all Beyonce with the NX,
I live under a rock so I have no idea if that comment actually works.

Also the aluminium backs are like gigantic heat-sinks.
Heh, imagine if Nintendo went back to metal for NX. I absolutely *love* the Game Boy Micro's metal chassis. It's so incredibly firm in the hands.
Why should we believe this source?
...On the other hand, everyone getting their "final thoughts" on the NX this week makes sense.
I follow these guys for a couple of years now and they are doing a fantastic job and are trustworthy in my opinion. If the information from them is wrong, then it must be the source which is wrong after all. Very nice guys, I can almost guarantee you they wouldn't make something like that up.
6 Sep in my opinion is too fast but whatever.
It just seems illogical but it would certainly be excellent troll material.
Perhaps they meant it is fast in the context that we just had a Nintendo Directly a few days ago.Is there a too fast for a NX reveal? We waited so long for a reveal, how can you say that!
It would spread like wildfire on the internet, that's for sure.
Just want to say if no base station is used. We are speaking of a handheld and not a console. We can usr the hybrid term. But it's still a handheld that has a tv output like a notebook

http://m.neogaf.com/showpost.php?p=215195799The nx has a tv output. You can do this too with a mobile or notebook.
I like the idea, also understand it's Nintendo their focus. But without any base station for additional power that is used as console unit. I wouldn't call it a hybrid. But just a handheld with tv output and detachable controllers. I just need to use one button on my Samsung phone to stream games to my Samsung tv. I could add a Bluetooth controller to play it.
The hybrid part has always been about the controller, not the dock. It's about the very same console being used for both handheld and console experiences straight out of the box. There will be a dock for sure, but i still don't think it will provide any meaningful addition to power.
